Hasek to Dominate 'Canes...Ozzie will own Preds

Hasek has had two very solid games.

Maybe now one of the Hasek slappies would be willing to admit how badly he was playing earlier in the season, given that he is STILL ranked last among qualified players in save percentage.

The numbers will change, Eva. And if it doesn't, and he keeps winning, I don't care what his sv%age is. At the end of the season, when the Wings are again at the top of the heap, it won't matter who's got the best individual numbers.

He didn't play well in several games, for whatever reason, early on. Babcocks says it was the nagging hip injury. Whatever, he was tentative and worried and too concerned about what everyone else thought. Apparently he's over that. The Red Wings as a team didn't play well in front of him in a couple of instances, either. I am waiting for some people to admit that fact, too.

Dom wasn't tested against Montreal but last night was another building block (third period especially), it's all in the attitude, that's what makes Hasek great.

Anyway, Dom's back and getting better by the game. Ozzie won't be cooling off because he also has the right attitude.

plus he's technically solid, mentally tough, and understands his role on the team, as does Hasek. While I totally trust Ozzie, Dom going good is also a positive thing. I can't believe anyone can find a reason to gripe about our goaltending. Is it because there simply isn't anyone else on the team to complain about?

Loo, it's just that previously you took a hard stance of 'it's not Hasek, the team just doesn't play well in front of him' that was making me sick to my stomach. I just wanted to hear you admit the truth.

Eva Unit Zero, I have said this probably at least 20 times over my carear in lgw but you are by far the most unbiased and knoweldgeble person here.

Good. Osgood's usually done well against Nashville and can still continue kick tail this season and Hasek still gets PT to get more confident and out of his early rut. Rotate the two like Babcock said given the Wings current goalie situation if both are playing well in about a 50-50 to no more than a 60-40 split. There is no goalie drama or controversy there, it's only created by the fans.

It wasn't dirty, people just like to *****. It was an accident.

ANyways, people just love to bash Hasek. A true hockey fan who understands the game and Hasek in particular can see that even though he didn't have to make any great saves, he's back in form. The saves he did make, he wouldn't have made earlier in the season. That's a big way to tell that he's playing better. Also, you can tell the Wings are playing with confidence in front of him again, which they haven't done this season until Montreal.

So, everyone, let's get over our little preferences (who doesn't like Ozzie?) and acknowledge that few shots or not, Hasek is playing on par with his usual level.
