irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 i hope not, i mean i dont want to lose any of our potential stars...but obviously they are tired of them going over seas, but i dont think it will make to much of a change since i hope they put the decision in the hands of the player
SweWings 45 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 There are some big questions to be answered before this gets anywhere: is there really enough money? Are the players good enough for this to be entertaining enough? What countries? What teams? How many teams? What format? Will elimination be possible - will advancement from lower, eg national leagues, be possible? I already attend more or less every home game for Frölunda Indians and I guess I'd be even more interested if the team faced international opposition on a regular basis. When it comes to attendance I don't think there'll be the same problems as those faced by some US-based teams. Countries like Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland have a genuine hockey interest. Even a city like London could probably support a big-league hockey team - there's like 30'000+ Swedes alone, not to mention all the other nationalities. huh,..maybe Jason Allison will find a home after all. I love that that's the first place u go!!
