egroen 384 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) http://www.mlive.com/sports/statewide/inde....xml&coll=6 It also really got to me that the Wings are the second most penalized team in the league. They need to stop gooning it up out there! Edit -- sorry for the typo in the subject. Edited December 21, 2007 by egroen
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Good article. Not only do the Wings play better than just about every other team in the League, they now must play even better to compensate for poor officiating. The "Holmstrom Effect" has happened in at least two game that I can remembers. Damn shame.

RedStormRising 7 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Yeah the officiating sucked last night. Oh well... What's Homer's status for Saturday game by the way?
Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted December 21, 2007 The Wings are 100% correct. If it was Homer who did that, it would have been no goal. Bottom line. Therefore the Blues just got a win handed to them by the refs. Figures that would be the only way the Blues could get the win. Some of the refs are complete and total bums. What a disgrace. tazzer82 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I'd be pissed too. But the Blues will say it's just sour grapes by the Wings and I'm sure they already are. Shouldn't have happened that way, and I don't blame them for being pissed, but unfortunately they can't do anything about it now. Let's beat their asses next game and see how they like it. CrossCheck24 2 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 I hate to bring this up, but if NBA refs can bet on games, why can't NHL officials? They just picked up a Big10 official who was in gambling debt. So its just not the NBA. Im sure its been done before and will be done again sadly enough. Anyone think this is the case?

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted December 23, 2007 I only saw one replay of the goal after it happened I think, and I think it should have counted. I also do think that it would have been waved off it were Homer there. I really don't mind that it stood except for the fact that there's a glaringly obvious double standard in place. Opie 308 Report post Posted December 24, 2007 I am done asking for the refs to make the right calls, it is just not going to happen, however they really really need to start calling the games consistently, right, wrong, indifferent I don't care just make them consistently!!!!!!!! pjgj13 30 Report post Posted December 25, 2007 Quick question, in the 3 goals that were disallowed due to "interference", how many of those games did the Wings lose?
