datsyukian_deke 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 Both games ive been to for the griffs this year, this guy has shown exactly zero skill with the puck, or off the puck. it seems as if his only purpose is to go out there and piss somebody off enough to drop the gloves. i was at the game on the 18th against rochester, and from my count he had 7 shifts on the ice, touched the puck twice, had 9 or 10 solid hits, 2 fights (one in the 1st and one in the 2nd), and an attempted fight were the other guy wouldnt drop the gloves in the 3rd. is this really why he plays for the griffs? it is really exciting in the fans eyes, but from a hockey stand-point does it make any sense? Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted January 22, 2008 The fact that he's still around makes me happy. I never expect him to make the Wings roster, but it's always fun watching him play in the 3-4 Griffins games I get to watch on TV a season, and he makes training camp more interesting. And yes, from a fan perspective, I think Keefe is an entertaining player.
Coyote0106 2 Report post Posted January 22, 2008 I don't feel comfortable with Tardiff and Quincey as our tough boys. Until we get someone that can skate/score/whatever AND fight, I'm happy with Keefe. He does just what he needs to do. He is a physical player, and makes other players skate with their heads up. He defends our players.
Icer 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2008 Make up your minds. Do you want a tough guy or do you want a player who can skate? It's rare to find players who can do both and those guys are in the NHL.
