The solution is to trade Detroit for Atlanta. I looked it up and found out that Detroit lies 83° 05', West. Atlanta is at 84° 03', West. Atlanta is officially more West than Detroit. Heck you can see Canada from Detroit. All you can see from Atlanta is peaches. The advantage to swapping Detroit for Atlanta would mostly be in the savings of both teams where travel is concerned. For instance, the bus rides from Atlanta to Nashville. The Cats and Trash would save a ton of dough on that. Also the Trash and Cats speak the same language. And think of the money they will save not having to book special wheelchair seats and extra room for the oxygen tanks like they did on the charter flights to the coast. Of course, they will be playing Chicago less, but when has that ever mattered? Heck, with Detroit out of the Central Division, the Hawks might have a shot at the Division title sometime this century. Of course, Detroit would still have to meet the Ducks in the playoffs. However, by playing such tough Eastern teams as Toronto, Boston and Washington on a regular basis getting to the playoffs won't be assured. Because they would have to be put in the Northeast Divison, the Leafs would be moved to the Southeast. They're headed South anyway, so... Finally, I thought maybe if Detroit didn't come to the Pond so often some of the red tide that always shows up for these meetings would move back to Michigan. But realistically, most of those red jerseys are being worn by closet Queens fans. To be able to still come and watch the Stanley Cup Champions, they'll probably go out and buy Trasher jerseys. They are such closet bandwagoners! UPDATE: Un-&^%*^****ing-believable! In the 3-0 shutout against the Queens, the Wheels rested all of their senior citizens (Drake, Cheerios and Hassock) along with Zetterberg. Well, that's just great. The Queens are such a waste of time! Headline I'd like to see tomorrow (It's just a pipe dream so you don't have to karma ticket me!): this was the first, and last time i will visit their forums. is this the LGW equivalent?? these fans are just as trashy and disrespectful as nashville. do they a ******* nickname for every team in the nhl?? trashers (atlanta)? cats(nashville)? the part about us resting our senior citizens....how does one or two games stack up to half a season(cough cough niedermayer)??? none of this low blow bulls*** goes on here, im so shocked and appalled. i cant even imagine the reaming a detroit fan would get if they subscribed there. hillbillywingsfan 794 Report post Posted January 23, 2008 i have been posting there for awhile and i haven't really had a bad time there...every now and then you get posts like that but thats mostly from the younger fans that don;t know how to speak adult. you will even have ducks posters agree with stuff that i say ans such. case in point about scott making the allstar team. i was agasint it on thier boards and of course you have those few that think he should be in there no matter what..but then you have those that were agreeing with me that yes scott is a great player but he has missed all but 17 games the first half of the season and shouldn't be put in over some other players that have been here the whole time working thier hearts out. but you have to remember its a ducks board when you go in there...of course you are going to have those types...and yes we are the wings..the best team in the league....just think if we were all kings fans=) other fans are going to hate us. but for the most part there the mods are cool unlike the blues board. they really do regulate what people say on both sides. not as good as matt and the crew here but atleast they try.
