It's not really that different from the many other articles about Detroit scouting, but recognition is always nice.

That end of the article about if Z and Pavel didn't pan out like they did, if they didn't turn out to be unexpected steals, does give you a second's pause. I can't imagine the Wings without either Zetter or Dats.

I disagree. If it wasn't those two, it would have been two others who would be your favs leading the team and leading the conference.

To say the scouting crew are world class doesn't do them justice. I just don't think there is even anyone else in their league. I wouldn't trade players for players with the Wings. I'd trade players for scouts!
