So after his round in the shootout, the Mic'ed up DiPietro said outloud "I fu*&ed up my hip again. I'm done, I fu*&ed up my hip again."

Did he play Sunday?

Does anyone know the story behind this or any info on his health?

I have a feeling if this is severe the Islanders won't be too happy!!

I couldn't find anything online about it, I did see a couple of forums where people were asking the same but no answer.

Anyone know of a past history with Hip injuries, is it common with Goaltenders?

I tweaked my hip flexor and I know how that hurts, so I am assuming it isn't that but I don't know.

I was wondering this as well. I like how he mentioned Criss Angel during the broadcast, pretty cool, also like how Legace being humble as can be talking about making a Martin Brodeur save, and how he got good at waiting players out by playing with Pavel and Hank , Stevie Y and Shanny for years. cool guy, it was nice to see him that happy to be their.

Yeah, I heard that too, I looked at my buddy and said "did you hear what he just said??", but then the announcers asked him about it when he was mic'd up during the game and he said he was fine....

I liked DiPietro though, he was a good guy to have mic'd for TV...
