thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 I was looking at the Fevruary schedule/wallpaper and noticed the Wings have 4 back to backs this month. And, each one of them requires them to travel to the next game. Does anyone know if other teams can getting this shaft or not? It seems to be piss poor scheduling. Any ideas? thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 Just the same old west coast trip. And the travel isn't too bad. Probably won't have a morning skate. I understand the 2 on the west coast trip. It's the other two that seem weird- home for Avs, road for Bruins and road for Leafs, home for Ducks that seem weird. The travel may not be bad, but playing a game, flying to another city, gettting settled and playing the next day isn't good, either.

Sevumar 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 I'm pretty sure whoever puts together the schedules watches out for too much of a disparity in back to back games and long road trips for teams. There have to be acceptable bounds for how often back to back games are played and travel schedules.

All teams go through back-to-backs, nothing new here so you just have to suck it up. The Wings were pretty bad last season or the one before at the tail end of them, but they've done well with them this year for the most part. I don't like back-to-back games for the playoffs though. I'm no expert but it seemed like this just started happening a few seasons ago. What can ya do though, I don't make the scheduling and can't do anything about it, so continously ranting about it does no good.

Not sure one thread is "continously" doing anything, and not sure I was ranting, as I asked if other teams have the same type of schedule. It is piss poor scheduling, though. Or was that a rant?
