Playoff Games on Centre Ice?

Rate this topic

Hi guys,

I've recently returned to the States from Australia. I have relocated from DET to Tampa Bay and have purchased NHL Centre Ice.

My question is this--to veteran subscribers-- how many of the Wings playoff games do you get? What happens if a game is on NBC but there is a closer market game on-- do they show the Wings on centre ice?

Thanks

I live in Canada and almost every playoff Wings game was on regular cable last year, all except for one game in the first round. So that was the only game i really needed Centre ice for, I don't know how american cable works so yea.....

like they all said... Centre Ice is null and void in the playoffs... which is why they lower the price the closer to April and not raise it for the impending playoff season.

As has been stated, we are fortunate that the Wings are one of the most popular teams in the league, hence not really having to worry about missing them if they weren't on Versus or NBC.

NHL Center Ice though, correct me if I am wrong, broadcasts games on local affiliates (assuming they aren't on NBC or Versus) through the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Center Ice does carry the first two round of the play offs. They will not show games that are either a national feed (Vs., NBC) or local which being in Tampa, you should have no fears of.

I have it and love it. I live and die by the Wings but it is great to watch all the other games and have double headers ever night. For a true hockey fan it is quite the blessing. Bonus if you have direct TV b/c if I am not mistaken, if the game is broadcast from the local affiliate in HD, you get it in HD unlike COMCAST!!!
