Hank 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Instead of Filppula, and Hudler. How about Holland and Waddell make a blockbuster trade. Redwings get Marian Hossa and the thrashers get Andreas Lilja, a 15,000 best buy gift card, a pizza party for the whole team and Dallas Drake. Then with the trade of Drake the redwings then bring in McCarty for the playoff run. No deal. I want that pizza party!

If I were ATL. and it was at Chuck E's I'd hold out for a bucket of tokens and take the deal.
KDDRWINGS1 9 Report post Posted February 21, 2008 I would not like this deal short and long term. We could keep Flip here cheap for a long time and he keeps getting better (in my opinion) unlike Hudler and Sammy. I'd package those two for anybody. I like Flip and don't want him to go. I don't think he's the next Datsyuk but he could be a great second liner here for a long time.

TJH9635 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2008 So I'm not entirely sure if this has been posted already, primarily because there are too many posts on topics relating to Hossa/Filppula and I was just too lazy to read through them all. Anyway I found this article and thought people might be interested in this: "Waddell won't say who he's talking to, but here's a likely short list: Montreal, Detroit, San Jose and Ottawa. Here's who he would almost certainly want: left-winger Chris Higgins in Montreal, centre Valterri Filppula in Detroit, right-winger Jonathan Cheechoo in San Jose and centre Mike Fisher in Ottawa." It's just a news topic and I'm sure it's probably not very reliable, but the buzz is looming with this Hossa/Filppula trade idea. Sundin, Hossa will command hefty price
Dominator2005 558 Report post Posted February 21, 2008 We'll never get Jokinen. Hossa we can get. http://thefourthperiod.com/news/fla080221.html Why not for Jokinen???

Bucket of tokens rule. They can play a lot of wack a mole and crazy maze with those tokens. Plus they can hold Kovalchuks birthday party there with the pizza party and tokens. GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted February 22, 2008 http://thefourthperiod.com/news/fla080221.html Why not for Jokinen??? Because Jokinen will cost twice as much as Hossa or Sundin and at that point its not worth it for the Wings. Please for the love of god accept the fact that the wings will never get Jokinen. Please for the love of god accept the fact that the wings will never get Jokinen. Not true. I'm sure we could get him for the low price of either Zetts or Dats. Getting Jokinen makes no sense for this club. The cost is way too high. Especially for another centre. This team needs big scoring wingers. But what team doesn't? wingsrock34 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 I wound not care that much other than the fact that I'm not a huge Hossa fan. I just don't think when it's all said and done that Flip is going to be a great player.I guess I see him as something of a Victor Kozlov in a way b/c when you look at his attributes he should just be a better player then he is but he's not. He has the parts for him to average out an 8 out of 10 score but somehow he scores a 6 out of 10, if that makes sense to you. it's a sum of all parts type thing I guess...idk just my opinion.
