miller76 463 Report post Posted February 21, 2008 Just watching the 2nd intermission report on TSN (Flames/Stars game) Pierre McGuire and others agreeing that Ryder of Montreal will most likely be traded to Calgary for Tanguay! dobbles 252 Report post Posted February 22, 2008 a little bit of back story to this... ryder's younger brother is in the flames system. he started here in QC with the flames ahl team. after a few games he went MIA and was suspended by the team. he is a fairly good looking prospect for the flames, so they think having his brother would help get him back. First, it's been reported that Tangs wants nothing to do with playing in Quebec. The pressure is 10x worse for a french-Canadian. Secondly, with Tangs being locked up and Ryder a UFA, I don't know why the Flames would like a free agent RW when they already have Iginla and Nolan. Thirdly, the Flames need a centre. I can see Tanguay going for Jokinen a lot more than Ryder. And I think Tanguay would like it in Florida as it's not as intense as a Montreal. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
