Cheli has a left leg bruze. It's probable he won't be back. Andreas Lilja with the most experience Daniels says with a chuckle.
Or did he say right leg?

Chelios leaves with leg/ankle injury

The Wings' already depleted defense took another hit during the first period of Friday's game when Chris Chelios was hit in the back of his right leg/ankle from a hard point shot by Adrian Aucoin during a Calgary power play. Chelios needed help getting off the ice and briefly went to the dressing room before returning to play two more shifts. He was in noticebale pain and tried to walk off the injury between shifts. Eventually, he left the game later in the period. The Wings have not provided an update yet.

;)

Hey Hey Hockeytown is no longer the team theme song. Another One Bited the Dust has taken over....I believe they all need to have the curse lifted, visit some crazy voodoo witch doctor and lift the curse, next Z will tweak his back again, get to the Voodoo Queen ASAP

did anyone see what actually happened to drake because the result looked awful... maybe him and downey took down some numbers

I don't have the DVR going, but what I saw was Drake wheeling around behind the net, a Flame had a stick up trying to hold Drake, and the stick blade popped up and caught Drake right in the mouth. I saw him drop his stick and grab his face, still skating toward the bench. The camera shot went off him then...

But I saw him get hit in the mouth. Much amusement from the Flames announcers, saying the Wings were unhappy, but the Flames... not so much.

Why are people so quick to jump the gun? Meech was excellent against Colorado, now all of a sudden we need to trade him?

are you saying because he was great in 1 game against colorado we shouldn't trade him? He may have potential but he just don't know where to go what to do in pretty much every situation without Cheli or other guys looking after him.

now that I'm settled down, I don't really mean to say that. But during the game, I get frustrated when a player screws up alot. So please don't quote me during the game.

Yeah I was mad about that no call, Drake has been playing a hell of a game too

He looked great against the Avs, I believe had the most minutes, and was solid throughout.

That was the point I was making, the brain was exploding for people wanting to trade the guy...I love Meech of the 3 guys in right now for me it goes Ericsson>Meech>Quincey in terms of how much I like them

As I see it, this game don't mean s*** and we're full of callups looking to make an impression and get some experience. Now is the time to take our shots. Downey had the right idea going right after somebody on the first shift and Kopecky has looked good as well. Don't back down! Better to do it now than have to learn how tough you are in the playoffs.

Go get 'em boys!

KINDL!

;)

I honestly don't see the Wings calling him up. They want him to work the full year in Grand Rapids, but its between him and Stafford, who I think may be injured, so he may be the only choice...unless they trade a pick for a depth defenceman tonight and rush him over to a Vancouver on a private jet...or just dress 13 forwards playing one of them on defence....or trade for Feds and have him play D till its healthy...oh no I am gettting ahead of myself....ME WANT FEDS ON POINT :sly:

I know that's what you meant, I was just elaborating with my thoughts.

 I am very much the same! My patience is always tested during games.

We f***ed with Karma, and Karma f***ed back...

No lube either, apparently.

Homer with a high stick. Figures the refs would catch that. Phaneuf really sold that.

And the PbP guys for Rogers Sportsnet continue to kiss the Flames' asses.
