Here is the incident I had to search it on youtube myself.

I remember when this happened and although sickening to see. I thought it was kind of bulls*** because Stafford could've taken Alex's head off had he connected. Well, he missed and Alex didn't. They were both stupid, just Alex has better aim I guess.

I didn't think it the situation was fairly portrayed.

Well its chances like this that players like Stafford dream about, so I hope he grabs it with

both hands and has a solid game.

sidenote; Ericsson played over 22 mins last night, more than Quincey and Meech. Down mostly

to Cheli leaving the game early, but it will be interesting to see who gets what ice time tonight.

I think big #52 could be staying in the line up longer than we think. Think Babs really likes the

look of him.

I'm not justifying Perezhogin at all here, but what often goes unsaid here is that had Stafford connected, Perezhogin would have been the one on the ice and Stafford would have had the year suspension...He was just as in the wrong in that incident, and in fact took the first swing, he just missed...

Again not saying Perezhogin was right, or justifying his actions at all...just saying Stafford wasn't JUST a victim...

Harold Snepts has been told to start warming up

Which one?

<Looks around to see if someone hasn't been posting lately>

At this point, Murphy is looking good. I wonder what number he'd wear? Oops, wrong thread.

Back to the point of the thread (novel idea, I know), I hadn't even heard of Stafford before now. As much as we hate what's happening with injuries, the silver lining to the cloud is that we get to see what the future holds. If Stafford can impress, more power to him. I'm liking what I'm hearing about JonErik (Can we start that as a new nickname? I kind of like it.) and Quincey impressed me in the playoffs last year. I'm still kind of undecided about Meech, although I have nothing against him.

Yeah, it is nice being out in the front of the standing. Great to see these young guys playing at the NHL level.

I tried to watch the Griffins game today on Comcast Local, but then decided since it was on twice that I mind as well watch the second game which featured the Nucks!
