sinbin 3 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 True - however God forbid we have a few injuries to our top 6 forwards - the talent level drops off considerably...Guess we can't have everything While I'm not the biggest fan of Feds - he's still solid 2nd line material. I'm still the perpetual pessimist by thinking both Hossa, & Sundin will go elsewhere; Holland ends up landing Fedorov, signing McCarty, & quite possibly Stuart. My same thoughts exactly! Well, when you play for a team thats in the toilet, and in a town with an extremely weak hockey market. I would too. This guy is from Slovakia, it's colder than s*** there. Played in Ottawa, cold there as well. This guy has played hockey his whole life in a totally different atmosphere. And now her is in ******* Atlanta watching re-runs of Matlock. It seems to me that most people want to get Hossa from reading the other threads in the general discussion. Why do you want Hossa? Isn't this the same place where people have said all season long we want grit and heart and physical play? Hossa will score some goals, I can't downplay that, but I thought you all wanted a (preferably North American) forward who can score and hit? I am not against getting Hossa I am just curious. It seems like all the people who want him think he will solve all of our scoring woes, but if you take a look at his playoff #'s you might throw up a little in your mouth. I know what the response will be: "Well you can't say he won't play good in Detroit surrounded by our guys, let him play with Datsyuk and Zetterberg and he will score, blah blah" but he played on a few talented Senators teams in the post season and didn't do much of anything. Just looking for some insight because I don't know why you guys would want him over anyone else... Datsyuk with a beautiful feed to samuelsson and he rips it just wide of the net.
