GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 You guys are making the same argument I made here yesterday and got blasted for it by other posters, about how we talked all month about never having to see Hudler or Sammy again, and yet here they still are. Like Chucky the killer doll, we can't get rid of these guys.

fanOwings42 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 ok- yeah lebda has had his give-aways. but hes one of the youngest dmen out there. we cannot expect him and any of the other youngsters to be as good as cheli or lidstrom, just because thats the level of greatness we are used to seeing. the fact is that he's still learning and just 3 or so seasons under his belt does not make him perfect. if u ever really watch the guy play, his amazing speed opens up tons of options. not all the young guys have wheels like him. that makes him valuable in itself. he is developing well and there is more to come with him. he's been there all season long throughout it all. that would be awful to give him the boot now. GO LEBDA!!!

GO LEBDA!!! The wheels do you no good when you don't have the hands to go along with them. If he was fast and could hit then that would be an exception but he can't... He is a decent 6-7th d-man and gives us good depth. You expect anymore and you will only be disappointed. And just for the record, Lebda had a team-worst 20 giveaways in the second quarter. (Andreas Lilja was second with 13.)
StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 No one has to get waived, because the roster expands after the trading deadline for the playoffs. ^ what they said.
