LidsFan 68 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) I hope that Stuart decides to stay in Detroit. I think that he fits in perfectly with the Red Wings style of play, and he could really thrive here. I hope that he is tired of going from team to team and wants a home where he can stay for a while. He is on the best team in the NHL, what more could he ask for? His family should understand what an opportunity this is for him. I really like him, so I am holding out hope that everything will work out. Edited March 7, 2008 by LidsFan
Blaayze 25 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Saturday last I heard. And it's supposed to be on the higher end. It's Michigan though. All the channels hype up the storms Friday night, into Saturday afternoon. On topic though, I think stuart is a great addition to the wings. I've always been a fan of big and physical playstyle, and he can bring it. Doubt he will be here for a long time, but ill take him staying a little while longer for sure! He has improved every game hes been with the wings.
Opie 308 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Markov wanted $4m this year and went to Russia when he didn't get it. He was, in any event, a completely replaceable part of our team. You mean he wasn't cheaper, huh no way, that would mean that maybe it wasn't Holland's fault that Markov is in Russia not on the first d Pairing? Surely you jest! egroen 384 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 I was just thinking that he will leave at the end of this season for sure, because the guy as a free agent was offered a contract from the Red Wings this past summer and passed it up to be in LA--- LA!!?? But then I remembered looking at the Kings on paper last summer and thinking they would be one of the teams to beat in the West -- very, very stacked. Great team with a good mix of youth and veterans. But it just didn't happen, obviously. So yes he turned down the Red Wings, but he turned them down for what looked a like a pretty damn good team (he didn't knowingly go to the worst team in the league just so he could be with his girlfriend). Just rambling..........
Inultus 12 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 I never worry too much about who will sign, who will leave because the playoffs have a LOT to do with that. That's when we find out who we would even want to stay with us, and for what price.
