Some big games going on tonight.

Who are you rooting for?

Right now the Wild are beating the Oilers 1-0 early in the first.

Avs & Nucks are playing at 9. Huge game for both in terms of taking the division lead among making the playoffs and keeping in the 7th and 8th spots.

ive been scoreboard, or more appropriately sopcast watching games of interest in the western conference for about two weeks now to see how the playoffs shake up. i think itd be cool to start a thread each night to talk about scores around the league and whatnot.

Oil losing to Minny 0-3 with 1 minute to go in the 2nd period, rooting for Minnesota.

and the Avs and Canucks are tied at 1 a little over half way through the 1st. im rooting for the Canucks to hold off the avs, so the canucks stay in the 7 seed. i could go for a Canucks win in OT or SO so at least the avs get a point.

as the season starts to die down, and if the Cancucks can hold onto their lead (still two to go, only up 2-1) im really starting to think the Wings will either be playing Colorado or Nashville, either way im with that. the Oil seem to now be done.

The Canucks are HORRIBLE. I want the Avs to stay in the 8th spot. Vancouver will go to 8th if they lose. Of course the way they are playing they could get knocked out entirely. Wouldn't mind playing them except for sparing the Wings the long road trip. Don't fool yourselves, the Avs are not a great team - we match up great with them and that would be a good series match-up.

the canucks are indeed playing that bad right now. if they dont right the ship, and quick - they can be knocked out completely and have the Preds take their spot.

PERFECT!

Nothing to be scared of - the Canucks suck. Ooh-ooh Floppa with 3 assists - he's such a shell of the former player I don't even know where to begin. When Cody McCloud scores on you, that's when you know the hard times are on hand.... :scared:

I do agree that the Canucks are not a very good team, but Luongo still scares me.

gotta be happy that the ducks got a playoff berth tonight (it was a awsome game by the way)... I would give anything to see the wings and ducks go at it in the playoffs again

Ducks win in a shootout against the Kings 2-1.

the homerism i heard in the 3rd period on (that's when i tuned in) from the Ducks FSN feed was enough to make me want to puke.

Dont worry. Itd be karmically (sp?) wrong for the Ducks to have substantial success in this years playoffs.

If winning championships was souly based on karma, than the '96 Avalanche, '74 and '75 Flyers, '07 Ducks, Claude Lemieux, Patrick Roy, and many other dirty teams/players would have never won Stanley Cups. Karma does play a part of it, I think, but it's not always failsafe, as proof of a dirtbag like Lemieux winning, what, 4 Cups? Unbelieveable that he did so well.
