It would be a great series. But the second seed might be good for the Sharks--if the seed win out, the Wings get the Ducks in rd 2, just like they got the Sharks last year. As much as I can't stand the guy, you gotta tip your hat to him. He plays out of his mind against the Wings. It's no coincidence that like 6 of his first 10 wins were shutouts this season. 91to-the-rafters 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Dude Columbus ALWAYS plays their best games against Detroit it seems. They could (and have) lose games to crappy teams all year long and they can't touch friggin Nashville for whatever reason, but they always bring it when they play Detroit. considering how short-handed the Wings are and given that LeClaire was literally keeping this game close for Columbus (always a problem for Detroit when they run into a hot goalie), I'll take it. Hell if Columbus played the rest of the West like they play Detroit every night, they'd have over 100 points themselves, but they don't have the scoring for it. Prediction: In two years the Central will have at least 3 teams in the playoffs. If St Louis picks up a great player in the Draft it could be 5.
