chelios4eva 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 Greetings all Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch the game this afternoon, I just saw the highlights and I really wanna know something. Will Mac be in during the Playoffs? His first game he looked really sluggish honestly, IMO, he was the slowest guy on the ice, didn't hit, very short shifts, but he got a decent shot on net. I thought to my self "It's only his first game back, he'll get better", and I was right. Every game since then he's been getting better and better, and just watching the highlights, (just the one play he got the assist on), he looked like his old self (or almost), nice hard check, fought for the puck, won, and sent a perfect feed up front. Was he this good the rest of the game? Fast?, Checking?, and any word on him in the playoffs?
uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 No injuries I'll sleep tonight In case anyone cares... the wings had the least number of fights this season... so all those who say we're tough enough are idiots.
BlackhawksFan 4 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 Came across this bit of gold at the official Blackhawks forum...Little do they know, we had a sellout today. I noticed empty seats while watching.

LOL please tell me you are kidding? Since when did the amount of fights a team has correlate with how tough they are? You can be a physical, gritty team without having very many fights. Since when were fights the ultimate judge that determines a team's "toughness"? Must have slept through that run last spring, yes?
Gizmo 21 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 (edited) Just got back from the game after taking the scenic route back to Kalamazoo (through Troy and Cheli's in Dearborn for supper). My impressions: - As noted, great way to end the regular season and it was nice to see the natural order between the Wings and Blackhawks restored! - Outstanding play by Hasek, Homer looked really "hungry" out there, and Abdelkader had another nice outing. - It was great to see McCarty get the point and Hudler the first goal to get that monkey off his back. - Clearly getting hit in the face was a real heart stopper. They didn't show any replays on the Jumbotron and I feared the worst. I was a relief to see him return to the game with "only" stitches under his eye. - I don't know if they showed it on TV, but the President's Trophy presentation was pretty funny. Nick rightly treated it like it was radioactive. He skated over for the obligatory photo shoot with the trophy as it sat on its table. He didn't touch it and acted like he didn't even want to get too close to it. After a couple of photos, he skated away quickly. shadow47 1 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 (edited) does someone have a link to that hasek save cuz i was listening to the game at work the whole time It really wasn't that great. It was a nice stop but nothing special as far as Dom is concerned. It was centered from the boards from Hasek's right, and he stacked the pads to his left and stopped it swinging his trapper while in stack position, again, it wasn't the hardest shot, just a tip by the attacker...as the puck twirled toward the net, Hasek noticed it in the air and smothered it with his gloves. Again, it really wasn't fluttering very fast or too close to going in the net. Here's a link to a pic of it: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/photo?slug=550...104&prov=ap Edit: I think the one goal the Hawks got was legit. Hasek fumbled the first shot, he reacted for the perceived rebound which never came, Kane picked it up and put it in. I may have to watch the play again but when I was watching the game nothing occurred to me like "Oh he was interferred with there". Nero 20 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 I noticed empty seats while watching. Perhaps they were seats previously occupied by Chicago fans
