2 horrible pinches by Lilja and Stuart, perhaps we will see lebda next game, Wings did a good of surviving the end of the period, they need to come out and quiett the crowd fast, theres no doubt babcock is making a good speech right now

If so Lilja needs to get his ass in there to be listening to it.

Oh boy.

I sort of knew that the two-goal lead wasn't going to last, but I was hoping it wouldn't evaporate so quickly. Nashville, as they have proven all season and in this series, is a completely different team when they get some momentum. This will not be an easy game to win, that much is certain. Our top guys have been fairly invisible, which will obviously need to change. We need Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen and Holmstrom to step up and play with some force.

Hasek makes some big saves, we get a lucky bounce and this thing is 3-0.

They need to CALM down...they are playing like they are on a PK. :bad:

I expect to see the wings I know in the third period cause that was not my team.

They do seem to be running around in their own end quite a bit. Let's hope they can regain some composure and take control in the third.

I kinda had a feeling that when they got 1 they'd get a big lift. They're getting in the zone way too easy we need to start applying more pressure at the blue line or I think we will be exposed. No finger pointing here though, everyone needs to step up and grind out a solid 3rd.

Yeah, the Presidents Trophy winning team always beats the eighth seeded team 6-0 in 4 straight games every single playoff year.

You can't be happy that the Wings are up 2 games to none, you have to whine about the fact that they aren't winning by enough.

Hey, what can I say - I'm a nervous, "glass is always half-empty" kind of guy! I'd much rather watch a 8-0 Wings blowout than a close game, unlike some of you. When it gets down to deciding games, sometimes I can't even watch, due to nerves. I'll watch the Tigers or NASCAR, and just flip to check the score occasionally. Sure the number one seed won't always win, but I would think that a team this good should have a few laughers now and then, to help my sanity.

How did they go from the Detroit Red Wings to being the Griffins so fast?

They didn't, we've just been lucky. If you're not a homer, there's not too much to get really excited about. Nashville is easily the worst team in the playoffs sans Ottawa maybe. They haven't played consistently strong hockey in this series either. These shouldn't be close games but they are because we haven't played that well. Not incredibly bad, but not too well and like I've been harping on like a whiny ***** for months now, we're giving up our leads and letting them back in it and at a fast and furious pace at that. Weak sauce. Both of these games now we've given up two quick goals and Hasek's been beaten and then saved by the post on what would be go-ahead goals. If those were goals instead, it's probably 1-1 and we're losing right now on their ice.

Again, this is the Nashville Predators we're playing. The team we're playing because their goalie refused to give up any goals for 50 billion minutes. And Ellis hasn't even been "amazing."

As said, we'll win this series and I'm hardly convinced that we'll lose this game. I think we could and then win game 4 for the sweep. But if we play like this against any other team moving forward, we're done for all the reasons that plagued us as the season went on.

The offense needs to start working a lot harder, Hasek needs to learn the difference between the "Averaginator" and the "Dominator," and they desperately need to cut the defensive breakdowns the second the other team gets a little momentum.

Dom looks rattled, he's too far in the net, and flailing around now.

And somebody please check people off the damn puck. They are playing the game like its regular season.

when you have 3 or 4 odd man rushes in sight of three minutes, where else would you be if you were the goalie, but in the net trying to survive?

He stays in the net, bad. He leaves the net, also bad. What would you have him do that he hasn't already tonight?

No he doesn't!!! No one in the league stops either one of those goals. Doms playing great.

I thought I was going to be able to get through a game without hearing the 'detroit sucks' chant. This game will be just like the last game. We will come back, and demolish the Predators. Sweet hit by Nick jr, and one crazy goal by Chris Draper.

LETS GO WINGS!!!!

I give Nashville all the credit in the world, they're making a great battle out of this series but I think them having to waste to much energy just to make even will cost them in the end.

On an unrelated note, do they I.Q. test predator fans at the door and turn them away if they score higher than 80? I swear they have the mentality of 13 year olds who just discovered their daddy's porn stash, they manage to turn everything into a "suck" chant, god I'm glad these retards have never seen round two of the play offs.

Edit: made slightly nicer.

Just got back so I'm going to be watching the game now, I can see from the doom and gloom that Nashville tied it up rather than us coming back. Youg uys need ot relax, we've never trailed in this series and the only times we ever get in trouble are during 1-2 minute lapses were Nashville seems to always score even if it comes from a flukey bounce.

Either way Nashville can't finish, and they'll probably play a craptacular 3rd. The games tied, we're not losing so please let's everyone relax.

Who's worried about Nashville? We'll obviously still win this series if not the game. Like I said, it's when we actually have to play a good team playing playoff hockey that I'm worried about.

Need to put Z-D together again - this isn't working and didn't worked last year... glue them... Sammy is USELESS (I have a feeling that he's going to score tonight after these words...) Kronwall is looking GREAT, HUGE hit on Bonk... Hasek is fine, please let's play some DEF in front of him...

I get scared after these horrible rushes by Nashville. I still feel like we are going to win the game because I always try to think positive but it really is enough to make anybody nervous.

I'm hoping Babs is going Bobby Knight right now in the change room. Detroit needs to pick up some discipline right now, slow down a bit and play some defence.
