Drimo 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Two thoughts so far: 1. I have not bashed Hasek all year, but I feel it is hist time to sit now. Put Ozzie in and turn the goal tending around! He needs to be attentive off the faceoff and he has given up at least two goals off the faceoff in this series now. 2. The stomp by Tootoo on Draper's back was horrible and the damn refs should have called that! Suspension worthy for Chris Simon and Chris Pronger, why not for Tootoo???? The D couldnt clear/bad coverage led to the first goal. Losing a faceoff after a careless icing led to the second goal, although more often than not, that shot needs to be stopped. period. He needs to tighten up a bit though, the team is playing horrible in front of him right now... WORST PERIOD OF THE PLAYOFFS.... Dom is gunna tighten up and the team will get one back next period... Maybe the Wings will watch tape during the intermission and pick up some pointers. j/k I think maybe the plan is for Dom to slam the door, so the shut out is no worse than 2-0. Only way he could have stopped that would be by Giguering it with massive pads and a larger frame. it's his fault they can't score, too, I think. Anyone who is thinking at all realizes Hasek can't do much with a bench full of guys who are not playing up to the challenge tonight. Thats all leave dmac, swap Hartigan for Downey Dmac has done nothing wrong, that I have seen looking at it realistically, the 1st goal cant be blamed, it was a PP, not upset about that one, however the second one was WEAK as s***, and that is the one thats upsetting me however worse is that the PP is sucking it up bigtime. 2nd NEEDS to be better Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
evil204 4 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I think maybe they should stop launching weak 50-foot wrist shots from bad angles, hoping the puck bounces off Holmstrom and goes in. And be physical. They were physical in Game 2. Why can't they play like that now? The first goal was not his bad at all if he saved it i would have ran to nashville from rochester NY and given him a giant hug... The second goal I was initially mad but after calming down realized it was a horrible deflection... He hasn't been the downfall at all (it is the lack of effort in front of him that is why its 2-0 right now) but I want more from him cause I know he has it in there... At this point the match that "Bob can't even blow out this simple match" from the Primatene Mist commercials has more fire than this team... sans maybe Drapes. I'm not sure what Babcock can do. Hell, if Bowman couldn't do it against the LA Kings way back in yesteryear, how the hell can this guy do it? On a positive note, unless we take volunteers from the crowd to put on Wings' jerseys and come out for the second, we can only see a better effort, right? Right??? Also, I'd like to send a big, fat, wet sloppy kiss out to the Mensa Members at Vs. Thanks a buttload for screwing me out of the first 16 minutes of this debacle. Way to go. I'm sure there's a much bigger audience for the battle of New Whocares in the Eastern Conference vs. the number one team in the NHL, right? Good call. They dominate us. We lose and play golf. I just lost all my optimisim. WTF WHY CAN'T WE KILL THEM WHEN THEY ARE DOWN?!?! No we let them linger and they get all this momentum and stun us. We never lose to a top notch franchises. Always lose to dicks. It wouldn't bother me to lose to San Jose, or Montreal, or about 24 of the teams. We have to lose to jerks like Nashville, Calgary, Anaheim. I have to mute my TV to watch this game and we stink it up visually as bad as their fans do audibly. GRRR WAKE THE DAMN HELL UP WINGS! Also I will be saying this a thousand times over if we don't change our half-assed effort and show up. All you people who rooted to play Nashville, who said I was a fool for wanting to play Vancouver. If we lose to Nashville in this series, I will be holding that over your heads forever. I am sure it will end up in my signature. I would rather they just shut those country bumpkins the hell up. Pull Hasek, put Osgood in if we go down 4-0 in this game, don't wait until it is too late to light a fire under their asses. Honestly. Be Proactive. Give me a reason to be optimistic again. And if the Wings don't win tonight, we shouldn't forget that every series last year was 2-2. But they will win! We didn't get those 700, and then 1000, posts for a victory for nothing! That goes to show we need deeper scoring on our top 2 lines because what we have now ain't working. Where's Cleary, Flip, Franzen, and Samuelsson?
