Where's Abdelkader?

It really takes 2 seconds to spell a guys name right. This is not directed at you HudlerRules, it's just that 9/10 people say they don't know how to spell "Abdelkader" but never take the time to figure it out. It's not really even a hard name to pronounce.

He did look really good in those couple games and I'd love to see him in the line up but the way the team is playing, who would he replace?

I would replace Hudler with him in a heartbeat ...except for the fact that he's our leading our team in points with 4 (I never saw it come either I know!)

Maybe Hartigan should be swapped. I don't think he has played poorly but he certaintly isn't playing like someone who will ever be in the Wings first team.

I say Abdelkader deserves a shot, if only for a game or two. He'll def. bring more of a physical presence than Hartigan does and from what little I've seen of him I'm very impressed

He's played 2 NHL games.

And Hartigan is a hardend veteran.

Simple fact of the matter is Hartigan hasn't done anything to warrant not being replaced. I mean, Lilja has been a lot more impressive than Hartigan and he's been replaced.. and he's been here for years. Hartigan is just as interchangeable as Lilja, more so IMO.

Give the kid a shot

Mark Hartigan has played in 100 more games than Justin Abdelkader. Also, Lilja is being 'replaced' by a guy that started 78 for us this season....74 last season....46 the year before that...while Justin Abdelkader was playing college hockey. This is not a valid comparison. Don't get me wrong, I like Abdelkader and I think he will be way better than Mark Hartigan. And, I agree with you....Give the kid a shot....next season. No reason at all this kid should see the ice in the playoffs unless we are down forwards due to injury.
