pavyaz19 1 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 There was one shot during the NBC broadcast that showed Stuart shaking hands with the Predators. Not sure if anyone else saw it, but he was using his left hand to shake, holding his gloves with his right hand / arm. From what I can see; his hand injury is the only injury incurred in round 1 - and it's probably so minor that he won't miss any action. I do also feel that Cleary is not 100%. Fortunately, we've escaped round 1 without anything major. Any word on when Maltby will be back? It's gonna be very hard to take Helm out of the lineup at this point. Who will sit? Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 i think he came into this series with an injured hand, so i don't think its a new one.
WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 I think Helm as proven he has more to offer than Hartigan for sure. He was flying out there today and was generating chances on Ellis. Him and Hudler seem to have some chemistry.

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Stuart is still recovering from a broken finger, thus why he missed most of the end of the regular season. Also Cleary lost a lot of weight with his broken jaw as it was wired shut, he gained most of it back but still has some way to go to be back to 100%. Not too mention gaining weight in a short amount of time can decrease the time it takes for you to fatigue as well. Hopefully with a few days off he can get back to his normal playoff dominance. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Honestly, Sammy and Filpula should watch out. Helm is looking great on every shift, Maltby is back for round 2 and he lives for this time of year.

Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 You don't honestly think Filppula has to worry about being scratched, do you? I would hope he did, but babcock's obsession with giving him every chance is obvious, babs will never scratch him.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 You don't honestly think Filppula has to worry about being scratched, do you? No, Babcock wont sit Filpula. He should, Filpula wasnt noticeable in any game htis series, one time did he register a point, and has the same amount of goals as Mac and Draper. Those 2 bring a physical edge, Filpula is playing softer then Hudler right now. But to be honest, Filp is faster and smarten then Sammy, and thats who needs to sit out. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 You haven't already forgotten Game 5, have you? He was noticeable in the first period of that game, but he didnt do much else the rest of the way. He needs to raise his game, 19 goals in the regular season isnt some kind of fluke. He needs to raise his game, 19 goals in the regular season isnt some kind of fluke. He made the steal that led to Franzen's goal. Outskated the Nashville puck-carrier and poked it to Kronwall. Hasn't been Flip's greatest series but he's too talented and works too hard to be taken out.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 I dont want him out at the expense of Sammy, Samuelson needs to take a seat. Filpula at the very least doesnt make alot of turnovers and is responsible defensively.
sergei_is_still_a_wing 1 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Filpula wasnt noticeable in any game htis series thats funny. i noticed him in game five when he put a laser beam into the corner of the twine over ellis' left shoulder for our only goal in regulation. sure he only had one goal but had he not scored it, who knows if we win that game. sometimes 1 goal that wins/keeps us in a game is more important than a hatrick in a game we win 7-2.
