Brodeur......atleast thats whats some posters were calling him yesterday before the Wings game started.

Can I ask why?

I think Nabby deserves it.

All three played a tremendous amount of games but nabby went

77 starts 46 wins 2.14 .910%

Marty went

77 44 2.17 .920%

Henrik went

72 37 2.23 .912%

I also have a western conference bias, I think the Sharks played in a tougher division and conference.

I will tell you this much though anyone of those guys goes down with an injury and their teams would have sucked ass

Avery called him that during an interview.

Avery called him that.

Yet another reason to like Avery, Not!!!!

He calls one of the classiest and most respected players in the game Fatso, after he was the one making an ass of himself.

I have said it before and I will say it again, he can score as much as he wants, hell he can win the Conn Smythe and I would still not want him in the Winged Wheel!

Sean Avery was quoted after the Rangers clinching game about Brodeur "..and I guess Fatty there just forgot to shake my hand"

I think that's hysterical.

Class and respect don't mean anything when you don't offer to shake the hand of the guy who completely got to you during the series. Granted, Avery didn't need to call him fatso, but Brodeur sure did look like a giant douchebag.

Anyway, Henrik for Vezina (even though he won't win)!

If you looked at the incident in a vacuum yes Marty would have looked like an ass, but this is where I agree with Milbury and you probably agree with Pierre.

All of the things that Avery is, and all of the things he says/said or does/did, makes him who he is.

Trashing Euros, Francos, and anyone else he thinks is less than him publicly make him the asshat, Broduer looks like some one who doesn't respect Avery.

And then when you look at the two players past, whom do you think is going to get the benefit of the doubt.

Many players have bypassed shaking hands, hell Cheli did it last year.

I don't see why Broduer owed Avery anything that Avery wasn't going to give or in this case show Broduer.

IMO Avery deserves no respect!

I agree. Guys should go out and shake hands when they have played a hard fought battle like warriors, fought like men, and played hard. I thouht that it was embarassing to our sport, to Avery's team, and to Broduer. I know that there was nothing illeagal about doing it but it was uncommonly silly to do and on The Melrose Line last Thursday they were saying even his team was telling him to cut it out. I think that the handshake is a great tradition that shows the class of our sports and the respect that they have for eachother and it just does not seem to me that Avery earned that respect.

Even just looking at the series is looking at it in a vacuum a bit. These two have been going at it since Avery went to the Rangers. :nonono: to them both

BOT: Broduer if they favor the shootout. Nabby otherwise

Brodeur's division is one of the toughest.

I can see how you would think that, and I have no problem with you thinking that, I think the west is tougher, matter of opinion.

But to back up what I said:

if Pit or NJ played in the Pacific Pit would have been the 3rd seed and NJ the fourth and I would argue that Dallas was a better team than NJ and they only managed 97 points, but again that is a matter of opinion and I wanted to back up what I said!

It's really hard to simply look at standings a make a call, but 4 of the 5 teams in the Atlantic were playoff teams.

Pittsburgh went 8-1-1 against the Western confererence this year.
