cirov19 1 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I suspect this goes beyond Avery. It kind of sickens me how people are jumping on this Pro Avery, Anti-Brodeur bandwagon. I am no Marty or Devils fan, but Brodeur is one of the most decorated goalies on all time, and he is a baby because he wouldn't shake Avery's hand and he doesn't want to play in the WC? He just lost a really disappointing series against an arch-rival and had all the wind knocked out of him. If you were in his shoes, you probably wouldn't have much motivation to play in a half-assed tournament made up of second rate players. People need to get there s*** straight - if anyone is a baby, its Avery and his name calling. "Fatso"? Give me a break - an 8 year old could have come up with a better insult than that. I'd love to see the Wings play the Rangers in the finals, then everyone will be crying about Avery and his antics, as they should, and you guys will understand what kind of dick this guy is. Average hockey player on an average hockey team. I'll point out my sig. quote here; 'When you lose say little, when you win - say less'. He didn't call Avery anything in his response except for "You Know Who". In fact, he stated his feelings pretty plainly and free of any insults; "I was really disappointed with how it unfolded," Brodeur told the Post. First of all, I thought he played very solid against the Rangers, the Devils could just not finish their chances. Second, I never would of thought a champion, and winner of so many awards would allow a dick like Sean Avery to get into his head so much. Third, you are a professional Marty, you should know that Avery would do whatever he could to piss you off, the best thing you could of done was keep your mouth shut, win the series, and when it came down to a handshake you could of snuffed him and added your last 2 cents.
