flyerdog 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Hi guys, I am a life-long Flyer fan who posts on your board on occasion. I just wanted to express my admiraton for your team. I watched some of the game last night..and I was very impressed with your team, THe speed, skill and tenacity on display was incredible and I turly belive that when you guys are "on" no team in the league can match the intensity. For minutes at a time the Wings made the Avs look completely helpless out there. And this against a team with names like Forsberg, Sakic, and Hejduk Some of the things that impressed me: 1. Forced turnovers, relating to a tenacious forecheck 2. Crisp accurate passing, sure the puck bounced off a stick every now and then , but in general the passing was textbook, and it seemed that no single Red Wing seemed to hold on to the puck for more than one second before passing..very impressive 3. Puck support: no Red Wing seemed to be left on an island with the puck there seemed to always be a team mate ready to assist..and that player knew exactly where to be in short I was very impressed and I think you guys take this series and a Stars/Wings WCF will be very fun to watch THats all!! respectfully, flyerdog Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Philly is my Eastern team! They had a great offseason and a good pickup at the deadline. I picked them from day 1 to make the playoffs. Of course i didnt think they would get passed the first round....but man they really have suprised even me, and im a fan of theirs! (of course im a wings fan first!) But man they are playing some good hockey against some good teams. I hope to see them in the finals, but if they make to them and they play us, i hope they dont good it up to much! They did the roll call of the states in the opening ceremony, and the entire Michigan contingent started chanting "Let's Go Wings!" when they got to Pennsylvania. They did the roll call of the states in the opening ceremony, and the entire Michigan contingent started chanting "Let's Go Wings!" when they got to Pennsylvania. I asked WTF they were talking about, and the seeds of a fan were sown. One of them cheering was me.... I was the Scoutmaster for the Southwest Michigan contingent to the 97 Jambo. pjgj13 30 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Living in Lancaster, PA and working with a bunch of Flyer fans who trash talk my team (out of jealousy of course), you are the 1st Philly fan I have seen that seems to know his (or her) stuff. Good Luck and GO WINGS!! They give me crap at work but my comeback is "When was the last time YOUR team won a title?" Most of them weren't around the last time.
