per the A2Y glossary

Monty Babcock’s Flying Circus The A2Y readers voted in the Fall of 2007 to name the line of Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Holmstrom. By a wide margin, the Circus stuck and definitely applies. Don’t know if Uncle Mike will keep the Circus together, but as long as he does they have a name. And that’s just nifty.

Hmmm...I'm getting visions of a Disney movie now. What is A2Y, and who votes? That name...ahem...blows (imo). :bad:

Abel to Yzerman is one of the blogs on that site.

There are many posters on said blog, but Bill claims there are only "19" members.

the site also coined pierre mcguire's nickname as "the deuche canoe"

I guess this is a definition of a highjacked thread :yowza:

Maybe I should have been more specific....does this line have a nickname, and if not, what are some ideas?

"The High Def Line" was my initial thought.

Just a heads up, but its Abel to Yzerman. As in Sid and Steve. (Sid Abel to Steve Yzerman)

Not trying to be petty, but it makes it sound like someone is "able to (be like) Yzerman" or something.

Pavel Datsyuk requires no nickname for his line.

He requires no line.

He doesn't even need a stick.

He just scored, top shelf, off the back-hand and we didn't even know about it.

Leave Him be.

Now this is a great nickname for Z and Dats. From the Game 4 Preview:

The Red Wings were a loose bunch Wednesday after practice, weighing in on Tomas Holmstrom's new nicknames for the dynamic scoring duo of Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk - "Pasha and Sasha."

:rotflmao:

Sucks to be Z!

HPT = Home Pregnancy Test (??)

Thanks for the help on that one, I thought the joke was pretty obvious, but I guess if you have never had sex (too young, waiting whatever your reason), or never had a "scare" the joke wouldn't be that obvious!!!

I guess we now know why Hank was skipping that optional practice a few days back... :hehe:
