Turkey 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 I think most of these jokes were old material recycled for this article. All except the joke about wearing an 'A' on all his clothes. I hadn't heard that one before. They're all still funny though!
MabusIncarnate 5,359 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 I had my years mixed up, it more than likely was 2000. I don't have proof that I met Rafalski, nor do I think I need to justify myself as not being a liar on some forums, but I do have photographs of myself with Brodeur, Vanbiesbrouck, Elias, Sykora, and Larionov from that afternoon, along with a photo with Ozzie and Datsyuk at the later date. You can tell your good buddy brian being you all are so tight and everything that I apologize for having a bad experience with him acting like a swollen headed basketball player, simply stating that most have class and my single experience with him was pretty classless. I'm not some aggressive autograph hunter or anything, I wasn't running him down to his car, like I stated, we were just standing there waiting for the rain to end, he had an issue with us being there when he stepped outside and had security remove us. Believe what you like, maybe he was having a bad day, but it's not everyday that you get to meet professional athletes so my memory of this day is pretty damn clear. NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) I don't think you met Rafalski as he wasn't with the Devils until the '99-'00 season. Maybe it was the Continental Airlines Arena janitor on a power trip. Edited May 1, 2008 by Never Forget Mac #
Uncle Danny 155 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 Another Datsyuk gem from a few years ago: McKeen's: Is there any team you feel you match up better with in the first round and would like to play? Datsyuk: I want to play against the team that we will beat.

Typically, bashing a popular player and having your information wrong will result in nobody believing you. Not saying it didn't happen, I wasn't there. But nobody believes you, the same as if I had claimed to own a game worn Kris Draper 91-92 throwback jersey. As such a thing doesn't exist, I cannot own one. See how that works? When you can be disproven, you will be.
Kira 451 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) If you ever wondered why I love this guy so much, it is things like this that endear him to me. I've also had the pleasure of meeting him, and he is one of the gentlest, kindest souls I've ever known. Thank you for this - a nice birthday present! One of the first interviews he did here brought on an answer I've never forgotten. Q: Why did you want to play in the NHL? A: Because my team in Russia fired me. MabusIncarnate 5,359 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) Larionov didnt play for the devils in 2000. No he didn't, because it was Fetisov, not Larionov. Fetisov was on the devils coaching staff. Edited May 1, 2008 by BlazeYoungblood

I'll make sure I cross my T's and dot my I's and completely research the details, dates, and years of my past to appease everyone from now on to avoid being made out to be a liar. I mixed up Larionov and Fetisov too, damn my memory from 8 years ago. Typical forum garbage, I suppose it's about as believable as dude's brother going to high school and knowing Raf and his personality enough to disprove my experience. You're digging yourself a huge hole. You made yourself look stupid, dont try to start petty arguments now. (from a Simpsons episode, where they're digging for a treasure.
