T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted May 9, 2008 Yes it would've. Doesn't matter though. Kris Draper is a very important defensive forward. That's why Drake ended up giving him his stick later and Draper broke up the play. But you guys probably didn't know that. In my opinion, the only reason Drake gave his stick to Draper is because Draper was defending down low..... if their positions on the ice were swapped I doubt Drake would toss is stick up to Draper..... Yemack 1 Report post Posted May 9, 2008 To imagine this guy was strugling to play well in minor begining of the season.. wonder if he will be a Red Wing one day.. and after a call up he is now playing Stanley Cup playoff and a chance to put his name engraved on the Cup and go down in history as a champion. Wow.. what a season it must be for him. This would be like every prospect player's dream
DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 Anyone know if he's a go today? If so - I'll be paying extra attention. #43. 5th rd draft pick. There goes Ilitch, buying The Cup again.
norrisnick 1 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 DID I NOTICE IT? I thought I was crazy. I had to hit rewind. And the way he kept his HEAD UP ON THE PLAY while doing so? Hey. I mean....Hey. I rewound TIVO to show it to my sister too. (I had to explain) The way the stick lays after he moves it also blocks some passes to that point too, not just shots from. Don't lose this kid Kenny. Little s*** moves like that, done consistently, win games and stuff. Smart hockey. Thanks for the thread. Last year it was Filppula, but apparently at the deadline Helm was inquired about more than any other Red Wing asset.

This would be like every prospect player's dream Wasn't he quoted in November as saying, Helm - "Boy I'd sure like to get up to the big club by May and bury one to open things up in game 2 of the WCFs. Think I'll skate like lightning and then go top shelf gloveside." (Maybe I'm wrong. I could swear though...........) EDIT:::::::::: so you need to close tags too? vangvace 12 Report post Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) hmmm.... Quincey was that hot Griffin on the big club last year getting praise. This year it's Helm. Future's looking bright. Edit: Why is it hockey players look like they're in junior high school till in their mid-20s? I've never been able to figure this one out. shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2008 I'm very impressed by what Helm has been able to do out there. I'm glad to see him playing well. I hope that he keeps it up all series long and that he has a great year next year.

All I can figure is the conditioning? Coach makes you eat right, get plenty of rest, no late nights, no partying, phone yer mother etc. I dunno. They do look like sperms though don't they? Ah - I'm gettin old.
