I hope Franzen will be good to go, I can't wait for game

Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 dang if this was from mlive or somethin id be so concerned right now. Remember that this IS a rumor at this point, and according to Barry's sources the team is concerned it's a blood clot -- there's no confirmation of such yet. Although I would think if there are concerns of that that testing would be getting done quickly. We'll see. It's going to be an eventful Monday.
Yemack 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) if this really is blood clot and he had a headache, does it mean we could lose him forever? Edit: I mean not just playoff but lose him forever like Fischer Edited May 12, 2008 by Yemack
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 if this really is blood clot and he had a headache, does it mean we could lose him forever? Edit: I mean not just playoff but lose him forever like Fischer Not likely, no. I'm no doctor, but I would assume it would depend on where it is and the severity of it if this turns out to be true. If it is he'll likely be put on blood thinners immediately and that'd mean an end to the season.
shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 I would think that a blood clot in the brain would end up leading to a stroke, right? I have heard that you get a mean headache before a stroke and it can take many many hours before it fully hits. I'm not going to worry about this until it is confirmed. 10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 If he possibly had a blood clot in his brain, don't you think he would have had it already checked out? Anyways, it would be a huge blow. But we can still finish off Dallas and beat Pittsburgh without him.
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 God if this is true I hope Franzen will be ok, and if he is out for the playoffs, new slogan Win it for Mule!!!!!!
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 IF there is a blood clot in his brain (causing headaches, dizziness/vertigo, the inability to stand or walk, visual disturbances, weakness, speech impediment, or seizures) then he will be out for the season while they treat it with blood thinners and special vitamins, and maybe surgery. Anyway, we need an MRI result to be sure about the speculation.

sergei_is_still_a_wing 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 IF, and thats a pretty huge IF it sounds like at this point, this is true it may just be the worst playoff ending injury in the history of the game IMO. now that may sound like a stretch, but with the pace he was on right up until he was a no go for game two, at 1.09 GPG he could very well have threatened the record for goals in a single playoff year (20 i think by wayne). maybe/maybe not. i'll just pray tonight that i get wind tomorrow of franzens injury keeping him out for game 3 only. get well johan. 10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Funny how Holland said yesterday "it's nothing substantial" Edited May 12, 2008 by 10 Minute Misconduct
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Funny how Holland said yesterday "it's nothing substantial" At this point, I'd believe Ken Holland over someone posting on a message board. Maybe it is true, but until it's announced, there's no reason to freak out.
10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Isn't this dude who posted that on a message board got some credibility?
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Who knows. Doesn't Holland? It doesn't seem like a blood clot would be something that they would try to hide at first. Either you have it, or you don't. It's not something that the other team would benefit from knowing about, like a concussion, or bad shoulder..Weird.
