You know what, I have bashed Sammy as much as anyone else, but he has 3 GOALS IN THE STANLEY CUP FINALS. How about Hank or Pavel's numbers? 1 and 0 respectively. Them and our D need to step up and I suspect we are going to. Wings always seem to have a shaky 1st, so let's get this game under control and play Red Wings hockey!!!

I think the guys need to calm down just a lil bit... seems like they are getting to excited and making bad passes... If they calm down and play Detroit hockey game is over

4-1 Wings

Overall good period, Wings dominated 5-on-5, Z and Dats look unstoppable and Ozzie's been playing pretty good. The PK's getting better and I'm sure the calls will discontinue or start tilting i our favor, also Cleary's working pretty well on that top line.

He has played well, but I still think he should have had the first goal. I mean Ozzie was right there and let the guy bank it right in.

NBC GET RID OF THAT HORRIBLE BLUE LINE CAMERA ON POWERPLAYS!

Agreed! <_<

I shouldn't complain given the fact I'm actually getting live coverage but I do hate that camera angle.

And I agree with the above comments, defence has been sloppy. Most of the defenceman have been irresponsible with the puck.

I want a much better 2nd period, but alas, it probably won't happen. We turned it up in the 1st but then at the end they were splitting our defense so easily it wasn't funny. <_<

The penalty kills have a lot to do with the flow of a period. We saw the same thing in Game 1 of the series, when the Wings were killing off 3+ power plays then, too.

If the Red Wings can keep themselves out of the box and can continue to roll four lines and keep the shifts short, you'll see a lot more flow and more consistent play.

The Pens are being badly outplayed by the Wings in even strength. If this trend continues it will be very difficult for the Pens to win the series on powerplays alone. If the Wings can manage to stay out of the box this will be a lot easier for them.

Love how they're downplaying Nick possibly being the 1st European captain to win a cup
Yeah, they're jerks. People celebrated when Versus stopped airing the games, but it's basically the name crew on NBC.

Except for that new guy. Who the f*** is he? Never seen him before the finals started.

One note on Draper's penalty: It was the direct result of a horrible pass by Draper in the neutral zone that was a direct turnover.

Can. not. turn. the. puck. over.

Yep and hence I posted, "Draper is this teams worst forward" and "bad, bad shift Draper". Overreaction no doubt but I was annoyed by the whole sequence.

If we were going to lose this game, we would've lost it in the first.

We're still alive, have better coaching in the dressing rooms then they do, and are going to win this game.

Regarding our boys missing the net, I think I kind of understand why. They don't want to aim right into Fleury, so they're trying to hit a high corner. Unfortunately, they're getting too much loft on the puck.

However, if they aim low on Fleury, he WILL give up rebounds. So yeah, this missed net s*** has to end.
