McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 Yeah, but what good is it being sold out if a ton of Pens fans are there which is what happened by all accounts. Those tickets should've been bought up by Wings fans, not Pens fans, why weren't they??? The pre-sale tickets did not go that fast at all. I was checking them and there were $200 seats available for quite a while. As I stated before, I'm not attacking Wings fans for their dedication in the least. I know they've sold out for many, many years now and have great fans that support them. I am defending the Pens and their loyal followers which are being unjustly abused on here. Yes, the pre-sale tickets did go fast, at least the cheaper ones. $200 per is a lot of money for some people. Some people waited until all of the tickets went on sale. I'm sure the Penguins do have loyal followers, however, the Penguins have every right to be blasted when they complain the way they do. Championships teams point the finger of blame where it belongs... at themselves. Put up or shut up. Crosby the pansy does nothing but whine when they lose. Players should not use the press conferences as their personal soap box. Defend the Pens all you want, however don't blame people when they attack the Penguins when they act like a high-school drama team.
David 2 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 SOME pens fans had to be there to see the 4-0 and 3-0 slaughters first-hand. It's only fair.

DallasStars 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 This is an awesome story. I truely hate the Pens now. You never hear of ANYONE being thrown out because they threw an octopus on the ice...ANYWHERE. It's nice to see this kid had the balls to what he did. IN THE FACE MELLON ARENA/PENS!!!! You're on your way out this year, and so is your whiny captin. I can't wait to whoop these guys, and have the NHL kissing the Wing's butt for the summer! Umm..people who threw the Octopus on the rink in Dallas were thrown out. Im sure most arenas have guidelines against throwing stuff on the arena(no matter the content). If you break it, you're removed.

And then you walk right past the ones who just threw you out wearing your teams jersey, and a new ticket.

Because Detroit had sales open to everyone. Unlike ArmPittsburgh which had Ticketmaster not allow tickets for games 3 & 4 to be bought in Michigan.

LOL I love it how some of them sound upset because he spent his own $600 to watch a hockey game at their place. It's his money and he can do whatever wants with it. betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 Getting to read the reactions from pissy Pens fans is exactly why this is so awesome. That and punking the arena security. Some level-headed Pens fans remember that they'd think it was equally awesome if one of their fans pulled such a stunt. Good for them - they seemed to think it was funny after all to put a Pens jersey on the Rocky statue in Philly. (I enjoyed it as well.) Then there are the troglodytes like this: Wrong answer. You have to be pathetic, a serious loser, and just plain stupid to go to all that trouble and pay the extra money just so you can throw an octopus on the ice and then get back in. Get a life my friend. The following statement is directed at folks like that: SUCK IT
Yzermaynard 1 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 (edited) You never hear of ANYONE being thrown out because they threw an octopus on the ice...ANYWHERE. I got tossed for throwing one in the beginning of the third period of Game 4 of the Wings v Stars series. The Wings Scored 40 seconds later, as I was being escorted out of the building. Here's a shot for confirmation. Edited June 2, 2008 by Yzermaynard
