One reason is because of what all the other posters are saying about Chicago needing to win more often and stand in the way of our pursuits to titles. Colorado is still more of a rival than Chicago is in that area. I could be wrong, but it looks like the fanbase has not totally embraced the Hawks yet either. Now they have their share of diehard fans, but it looks like the average sports fan from that area still focuses their loyalty on the Cubs and Bears. We wont see much of Mac or Downey in the first place.. And thats if they dont pick up a Drake replacement still.. so yah, Thats why i think we'll be Mac/Downey less.. ...fixed it for ya! Kopecky won't be ready by the start of the season. And if they sign Bert (still possible) he may end up traded... ...I hope this rivalry starts back up! It is far better to have an original 6 rivalry than one with Columbus! If it does spark the rivalry back up, all the more important to sign Downey to a long term contract! Downey over McCarty! EDIT: He said them by name and included Mac and Downey, he didn't say RFA's, he was listing his own free agents, didn't mean to mislead anyone!
