Phazon 24 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 Zetterberg said to swedish media that he wanted to break Loob's 50 goals. He also pointed out that in order to play even better you need to minimize the amount of average performances you have in the season. He was also very eager to start the season, and he wished it was now. sounds like he is on a mission

egroen 384 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 I really hope he and Hudler have a lot of chemistry this year.
jawbreaker 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 It's possible if he can stay healthy. But I wouldn't bet on it 'cause: 1. He will play less with Datsyuk. 2. I doubt that he will stay healthy for the whole season.
Opie 308 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 The only reason is see him struggling to do this is that he will be the setup man on his line. Mule and Huds will be the shooters/screen and Z will set up the offense. I have a feeling he will score more PP goals than he does even strength, however this year he will have more assists than he ever has. IMO!!

I would agree with this, but keep in mind that Hudler is no slouch as a set-up man himself. While Z will have his best year assist-wise, Hudler is going to do plenty of set-up along with Mule screening. Z's still gonna net a bunch. 50 though....we'll see. DatsyukownzU13 1 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 I'm guessing he'll get (and this would be an extremely good year given the fact he's not playing with Dats): 41 goals, 52 assists for 93 points
T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 There is a positive to being on the "2nd" line and that is if the other teams are to to put a shut down/checking line out, it will most likely be against HDH, so ZFH will not be paying against the opponent's top shut down line...Yes? Comments?

Comments? Agreed. These lines are crazy... they have three scoring lines and 4 checking lines. Unbelievable. It's like Babcock could look like a coaching genius by never even bothering to match lines.

I have a feeling he will score more PP goals than he does even strength, however this year he will have more assists than he ever has. IMO!! Hudler is just as capable of playing the role of setup man as he is of playing the shooter...so don't count on Zetterberg being stuck in a setup man role all year and not scoring goals. Expect both players to serve in both roles.
