miller76 463 Report post Posted November 17, 2011 Yes I kind of come and go as I please The person below me is so over looking at numbers constantly at work everyday
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 17, 2011 Not really. The only numbers I deal with are money and inventory part numbers. The person below me has learned a foreign language that they have never used in real life.
Jenny 315 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 (edited) I've never used Spanish or German outside the classroom (not that I went past the first level of either), but I did use French (of which I got through all 4 levels my school offered) when I visited Montreal. So that was pretty cool. Except apparently the Montrealans thought I was mangling their language, because as soon as I tried, they'd switch to English for me. The person below me has been mistaken for being a different nationality than what they actually are. Edited November 18, 2011 by Jenny
malts85 4 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 Yeah, I've been asked if I'm Greek when I'm Mohawk. As for the French in Montreal you probably learned proper Parisian French in school whereas Montreal and Quebec use Quebec French which to us is commonly referred to as farmer French and Parisians look down on Quebecers lol. TPBM loves cinnamon hearts.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 Not a fan of cinnamon. The person below me hires help around the house or yard.
Jenny 315 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 No, much as I'd love to hire housecleaning help during some of my busier weeks. That is NOT in the budget. The person below me is having issues with trusting someone.

miller76 463 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 It sure couldn't help. The person below me awoke in a foul mood today
Jenny 315 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 Surprisingly I was in a decent mood, considering how little sleep I got. The person below me has to deal with people at work whose first language is not the same as theirs, and receives emails from such people with unintentional weird phrases such as "please to do the needful." (Which is in an email I just received.)
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 Thankfully no I don't have to deal with that. The person below me puts others' needs before your own.

Jenny 315 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 Not I. Running the world would just be too much responsibility. The person below me really should get up and get something done before the day is gone. Wait, that's the person who is me, not the person below me.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 Get something done? Oh, heavens... I have done nothing of value in too long of a time. Since I hurt my foot, my house had gone to the dogs. I hired kids to rake and it snowed. I have writer's block and I have to have the Children's Christmas Service done TODAY so I can hand out parts tomorrow. Do something? DO SOMETHING?!?!?! The Wings are on in less than an hour. I shall watch the game. The person below me spends the equivalent of a paycheck on Christmas presents.
miller76 463 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 I am really bad about that. I will spend nearly a whole check on my daughter, and whats worse is her birthday is the day after Christmas. She makes out like a bandit! The person below says Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 If I'm wishing them a happy holiday season (Thanksgiving through New Year) I say "Happy Holidays". If I am wishing them a merry Christmas I say, "Merry Christmas". The person below me equates manliness and caring what their beer tastes like.
