WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 We've had very minor ones, I noticed one many years ago but didn't feel the one that happened last year. The person below me was affected by the Northeast blackout in 2003. (I didn't think it was that long ago)
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 I was indeed. It was on my 2nd day after moving back to Michigan from Kansas City, and I was in the basement of our new house. I touched something and at that moment the power went off, so naturally I assumed it was me. The person below me is thirsty.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Not really. The person below me has eaten pickled herring.
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Ack no!! We call it sludge because the polish way to say it is śledź (sle je) and it's a staple at Christmas eve dinner. No offense if anyone here likes it. The person below me will try a new food at least once.
Norwegian Red Wing 107 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) Sure! I am open to new things when it comes to food The person below me has eaten kangaroo-meat, or would like to try it. (Edit: must say I have, while living down under - and its the best meat I have ever tasted!) Edited March 4, 2011 by Norwegian Red Wing
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Sure. The person below me thinks that I would make a crappy tall person.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 I have no idea how tall you are. If it involves stiletto heels, you might want to stay less tall. The person below me is at least part Scottish.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 I don't believe so. The person below me will tell me what kind of bird they best identify with.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 An owl because I am a night person. The person below me will now answer the question, "If I were a tree, would I rather become lumber for furniture or paper for books?"
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 6, 2011 Lumber. The person below me will answer the question - "If I were water, would I rather be used to make an NHL ice surface or beer?"
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 6, 2011 I had BETTER get to be an ice surface. If I was a beer, I'd be PISSED! (In a few hours.) The person below me is looking out the window at snow falling gently from the sky.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 I had BETTER get to be an ice surface. If I was a beer, I'd be PISSED! (In a few hours.) The person below me is looking out the window at snow falling gently from the sky. Not at the moment. It snows here about every 10 years or so, for about 10 minutes. The person below me thinks the Wings will win their next game.
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 They better! The person below me needs to work on paperwork that's been neglected lately.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 The person below me needs to work on paperwork that's been neglected lately. I have actually gotten a bit better handle on things lately, in terms of records and paperwork. It's not my favorite thing, but someone has to do it. The person below me got a lot of stuff done over the past weekend.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Nope. I bought wine coolers. That pretty much kills anything getting done. Oh, well, I'm excusing myself because Sunday was my first day off in 3 weeks and I'm saying I needed the rest. Next Sunday I have off, I have a list for myself. The person below me feels like a loser when they keep putting things off.
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Not a loser, but I do have it weighing on my mind until I get it done. The person below me has driven on a flat tire.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 For about one minute before I changed it. The person below me knows how to change a flat tire.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Dad didn't allow us to get out licenses without proving that we could. The person below me has changed their own tire. (Oddly enough, I've only changed them for other people.)
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I never learned so no I've never done that. Where you both this morning when I needed you? The person below me has gotten a call for help from a friend at a very early/late hour
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I have. The person below me wears cologne.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I do not. Deodorant gets the job done for me. The person below me is worried gas will soar to over $4 a gallon before the end of the month across the country.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 What if it does? If you don't like it, don't buy it. Find other ways to get around. I have to drive to get to work unless I want to walk for 2 hours. Therefore, I buy gas. I get an extra job to pay for the little things in life, like filling the tank of a Ford F-150. But hey, if I don't like paying for it, I can trade it in. Choices. The person below me has to deal with the complaining consumer public way too much.
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I don't, but I can tell you do. The person below me tries not to complain too much about things that can't be changed. (As I go to the gas price thread to complain )
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I attempt but it doesn't always work. The person below me eats whole grain bread as opposed to white.
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I usually do, unless I have to take into account that other people will be eating it. The person below me thinks I should force my kids to eat that whole grain bread, even though they'd probably rather eat nothing.
