146 Penalty Minutes in Boston/Dallas Game

Being disciplined is one thing, but for an agitator to pick & choose their fights is truly classless. I can't see how any Dallas fan can walk away from last nights game proud of their team's character. Ott and Avery are weasels.

Steve Ott and Sean Avery can cost their team games by pulling some of these stunts. It's no surprise that every team Avery has played any sort of real role for has called him a detriment and had no problem getting rid of him. Effective at times, but when it gets down to the important moments they'll always fall short.

Mike Modano's opinion holds more water than Ott's or Avery's ever will.

And if the Dallas fans and organization starts to fell this way they are just going to have to live with it, because with his NTC he isn't going anywhere!

And If I were a Dallas fan, I'd want Modano wearing the "C".

The original poster made it sound like Modano was complaining about all the fights. He wasn't. He was calling out his team for getting their ass handed to them.

I don't think I made it sound like anything - I just posted what he said when asked about the team's identity.

Agreed.

It's these guys we look forward to watch get beat-up...Remember the anticipation that led up to the night McCarty put the beat-down on Lemieux?

This might be true if anyone on the current roster was capable of beating anyone up...unfortunately the closest we have is McCarty and his "fighting" simulation where he circles around and then snuggles for 30 seconds and falls down.

That was sad to watch.

Mac didn't lose the fight, but he did have Brown in a vulnerable position at one point, and couldn't capitalize. At this point he's basically a decent middleweight who can scrap, but don't expect many clean wins from him.

Dont go down the sense of humour path on this site...I tried it once and now everyone hates me :P

(yeh its spelt humour!)

I don't hate you, but not so sure that is going to get a lot of people on your side. :P

BTW I have Savard and Lucic (kessel on the bench) in my fantasy league, I got 26 PIMs from those two alone!!

Thanks to Lucic, and to a lesser extent Hartnell, I win Pims every week by a long shot!!!

Not looking forward to the Wings playing against this kind of s*** with Dallas...

I wouldn't worry, Dallas knows if they play that way every game they'll not have much success.

Yeah I usually pick my spots better than that. GMR worries too much about what others think, that's all.

F-Michael,

Lucic is technically canadian, not sure if I misread your post or not, but when reading it I got the impression you thought the Wing's Euro scouts missed him.

If I am wrong, meh happens often! Sorry if I misinterpreted your post!
