Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 How long until Babs starts talking about this? Because it's becoming an issue. I know every team gets bad calls, be we get a goddamn surplus of them, and it rots me. You forgot the fact that Babcock is a GOOD coach.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 We need to add a new stat to keep: G (goal) A (assist) PGP (post-goal penalty) That'll liven up the fantasy world, which is where the refs seem to live.
This Is Bida 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Say whatever you want about the other calls... But if you truly think the Kronwall call "wasn't bad" then you are a complete idiot when it comes to the game of hockey.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 It wasn't such a bad call. It was. Kronwall did absolutely nothing that could be considered an infraction there. It wasn't even a "he kinda did something but you shouldn't be calling that" situation, it was a "what the hell are you watching?" situation.
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 I seriously love seeing Babs going water skiing with the Cup. That's EXACTLY what I would do. The Cup. On my boat. PERFECT day.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 You forgot the fact that Babcock is a GOOD coach. That is true, he wont do anything about it. Not much talking would do anything anyways, but we play through it and kill off these penalties. Vancouver are 0-5 so far, let's make it 0-6 and not even care about this. RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 What has happened to the game of hockey? I am so sick of these marginal (at best) and absolutely invisible (more often than not) calls being made. Can holding penalties just be obliterated? I mean, seriously. Anyway, we're playing fantastically well. Our power play is a beast, and it's really fun to watch. We just need to play steady, simple hockey for 20 more minutes and this road trip that has caused us so much panic will bring us 7 out of a possible 10 points. This is the night we might look back on as the night the Wings really got it going. A win tonight and five days in between games sounds like a perfect combination. Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Murphy couldn't believe it. Mickey's in a ballistic trajectory somewhere over southeast Michigan. I'm pretty sure he is headed towards the ER after suffering a heart attack from that play.

Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Kronwall DID play that perfectly. Can someone exsplain how exactly, as a D-man...your SUPPOSTED to play a situation like that without letting the foward completly blow by you? I know this won't mean anything to you (or anyone else) but it's quite scary how similar the 'new' NHL is to the 'new' AFL (Australian Football League). They're trying to make the game quicker, more attacking down here and making all these new rules, now defenders can't really do anything without being penalised. Sounds so much like the way the NHL is these days.
