P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 TSN.ca Willie Mitchell about Wellwood: ''He had a few pounds on and he's starting to get those off. I do have a lot of respect for how he plays the game. I think he's exceptionally smart out there.''

puckbags 863 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 Kyle Wellfed has been very good, he has great hands and when he gets into spots where he can use those hands he is a very good player.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 I never understood the whole out of shape thing. Unless the guy is slacking on the ice, does his body fat percentage matter? The guy obviously has some great hands, was it an issue like "he can't complete a shift hustling without collapsing" or what exactly was the problem?

hankzet40 233 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Nothing made me more angry than that Wellwood to Tucker cross ice pass on the Leafs PP in 06-07. They literally did it every single time and not one team thought it would be a good idea to cover Tucker.
Doggy 130 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 Kyle Wellfed has been very good, he has great hands and when he gets into spots where he can use those hands he is a very good player. I'm sorry but that's f***en funny right there.
34Legace34 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 To go along with his gut, he had no work ethic. He was a floater in Toronto. as much as I love the guy, this is completely true. He floated around in Junior and got away with it, but in the show that crap does not work. It is well known that he hates going to the gym. but when you watch him rip goals like he did the other night with those amazing hands, its hard not to wonder "what if.. BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 LOL. I have a soft spot for Wellwood, I mean the hard nosed and/or multi-dimensional players are more my cup of tea, but I used to love watching him when he was on the Spits.
