Only thing that would make this impending win even better would be if it weren't going to be broadcast on VS.

I think I'll turn on my CC and mute the tv :P I don't know if I'll be able to handle the Pens rally they'll be showing between periods.

No Cleary

The Red Wings are on the ice for their morning skate right now. Dan Cleary, however, is absent. Coach Mike Babcock said yesterday that Cleary took Monday's practice off for personal reasons and would be a game-time decision for tonight. It also appears that Johan Franzen will make his return from a knee sprain that kept him out five games.

Here's the way the Wings are practicing ...

Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Hossa

Filppula-Zetterberg-Franzen

Hudler-Draper-Samuelsson

Maltby-Kopecky-McCarty

Lidstrom-Rafalski

Kronwall-Stuart

Meech-Lilja

Lebda

Cleary out tonight with eye infection

by Ansar Khan

Update from the morning skate: Dan Cleary will miss tonight's game due to an eye infection, for which he was scheduled to see a doctor this afternoon, coach Mike Babcock said. Cleary has been experiencing some irritation in the eye most of the season, affecting his vision at one point and prompting him to wear a visor.

That explains why Cleary's been a bit off. Hope it's not conjunctivitis or something else similarly unpleasant.

My son turns 7, we have some college students from Michigan out here attending college coming over to watch the game on the big screen in HD, lots of food, etc... Looking forward to a Red Wings win! GO WINGS!!

Finally getting to Danny, good he's getting it checked out. But thankfully Franzen is back, so we wont miss Clearys physical play too much, assuming Mule plays the way he did before getting hurt.

I'm gonna say 6-1, I'm only going to get the 1st period unfortunately, so hopefully I get to see some good highlights tonight.

Good thing that Gary Roberts isn't around to cheap shot Franzen wherever he was hurt before ;)

I wonder if Malkin will have enough gas left in his tank to compete in the final minutes of the first period.

PS... super excited the Oz man is in net tonight... Albeit i saw him for all the playoff games but its a treat for reg season games now :D
