Haha, no big. Just trying to give you a hard time. Yeah...but....but... teams only qualify for the 6months prior to the playoffs starting... We have already gone TWO WHOLE games without a point?!?!?! we're f***ed! Now settle down, its early in the season. We got a few more months to turn things around. I'm not sure which is worse: people "freaking out" over the Wings mostly sloppy and uninspired play, or people who have a problem with people who *gasp* have the cognitive capacity to criticize the Wings. I'm not really "worried" about the Wings. But anyone who can't understand why someone wouldn't have only positive things to say about this team needs a reality check. If there's one thing the last 10+ years have taught the Wings and their fans, it's that the regular season means nothing. The question should not be, "What's their numerical record?" (does no one remember '95-'96?), but rather, "How are they playing?" And the truth is, they haven't been playing very well. The defense is very shaky, the hunger is not there at all, physicality seems to be a thing of the past -- all in all, very underwhelming. Here i will give you a little bit of a bone... THE PEOPLE FREAKING OUT IN NOVEMBER BECAUSE WE WENT 2 WHOLE GAMES WITH OUT A POINT (not even in a row mind you) With a possible of 34 points... we have 27.... we have missed 7 freakin' points so far... ZOMG! Who cares if its 7-6, 18-17 the points are all that matter right now... the POINTS are what get us into the playoffs...we get points we are fine. They don't award "special bonus" points for looking good while doing it. I am sure many fears stem from not being able to fathom a a team with detroits name playing like this... but it happens... it happend when we have a great cast of characters in the past... it happened when Stevie captained the team it will happen again with X player as captain. its the regular season... we are getting the job done sloppy or not a point is a point. I have always been one to say to which is gained to easy much is taken for granted... at least this season the wings aren't being handed anything as returning champs. It's a given that the Wings are going to rack up points in the regular season. What I care about, then, is how well the team's playing, how hard it's working for the points, the strengths its displaying, the weaknesses other teams are exposing. What I care about, then, is how well the team's playing, how hard it's working for the points, the strengths its displaying, the weaknesses other teams are exposing. perhaps you are right about the different things. to address you last sentence.. i think its more important now that their weaknesses are being exposed... in actually they probably would be better off losing more games right now (yeah yeah yeah insert mindless mindfly comments now ). As it stands they maybe looking at it the same way many are (including myself) we are playing sloppy, uninspired puck and still pulling ahead in the league itself... it can only get better and when it does watch out. But i think this time of year should be used to fixing what is wrong in preperation for April... besides what isn't exposed is never really brought out as a problem in need of a fix.
