Opie 308 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 To me, the best part of the #5 hit was that when Kronner took off to lay him out, if you look at what would be Kronner's position on the ice, Flip is there. Ok so the impact was the best part of the hit, but the fact that the team covers for each other like that is a good sign.
T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Sweet vid, bro, thanks for posting it. When my older brother used to race motocross there was a great racer named Brad Lackey. He had a gumball machine by his pit that said on it, "This is Bad Brad Gum, Chew this Gum and Win!". Everytime I see Stuart hit like that I can't help but yell at the tv "Bad Brad, Chew this Gum and Win!"

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 I knew Brown's hit on Robidas would be #1. The guy disappears into the bench so fast it's hilarious. It's cool that the NHL is doing this, but couldn't they put a little bit more effort into it? These could be a bit more polished like most sports highlights are. I agree, the editing on this video is pretty halfass...some of the hits weren't even replayed in slow mo. On a lighter note, awesome to see the Wings' recognized for some physical play. Chunkylover 26 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 #10 didn't look that special. #9 looked like Murray led with his hands. #8 also looked a little suspect. I mean Tkachuk basically kneed the guy as he was falling. #7 was good. #6 also good but Kronner always looks like he's getting his elbow up because of the way he follows through. #5 looked a lot cleaner and twice as devastating. #4 good hit but not better than Kronner's #5. #3 Stortini hit him pretty close to the boards. Kind of surprised he didn't get a boarding penalty or something. #2 Kostitsyn does his best impression of Datsyuk taking advantage of superior leverage. #1 was great. What is it with Robidas always being a target for monster hits?

akustyk 84 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 first 4 are pretty lame. and the Stortini thing looks like clear boarding to me. other than that... fine collection of hits. not to shabby for Brown but I like the Kositsyn's hit more.

How was that boarding? Did mooore even hit the boards before he hit the ice? The Kostitsyn hit is devastating but its not a good hit really just him out muscling another guy id put that one behind both of kronwall's
