commadore183 103 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Game tied again! Lidstrom's shot got deflected in front of the net just when the PP ended.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 The Wellwood goal that squeezed through the short side is the only one that was even close to soft...the other two were the fault of the defense. The 1st goal was a nice shot and he shouldn't have gotten it off, but it's ultimately Ozzie's responsibility to stop it. I'm not gonna hold it too much against him though since it was such a snipe. seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Great shift. Should have resulted in a PP with that hook at the end but oh well.
whitneydatsyukrox 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Wow, Draper, Hossa, and Meech clicked shockingly well on that shift! GREAT work by Hossa, looked like he drew a penalty but what can ya do, good to see the effort anyway.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Wow.. hossa on the 4thline versus vancouver 4th line.. PURE OWNAGE
SDavis35 140 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Great shift. Should have resulted in a PP with that hook at the end but oh well. i figure they gotta let some of it go... My quality is bad, but didn't really look like much of a hook.

I'm not gonna hold it too much against him though since it was such a snipe. Wellwood was the second goal, scored from a near-impossible angle. Osgood could have been positioned better but he didn't have time to get set for the shot. The 1st goal was the Pyatt goal scored on a heavy snap shot in the corner on an odd-man rush because of a bad line change. Hard goal to stop. The third goal had three canucks open near the net uncovered and a rebound off the back boards bounce right to one of them with Osgood having to move completely across the crease, as well as good shot placement and timing while Osgood was attempting to stop a shot he was having to guess at. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 hmmm. i guess it wouldn't be a 2008-2009 red wings game without ozzie hovering around 80% save percentage. this is getting old.

AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Maybe Drapes should skate with Hossa and Dats. He has speed and can at least handle the puck and make a pass to an open man.

canadian wings fan 305 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 We seem to have taken over the game near the end of that period. I hope they come out strong in the third. Dont let the canucks score right away again!
ozzyisalegace 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I agree with that, Drapes is moving around well the last few games. That would be a good combination.

canadian wings fan 305 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Thats not a bad idea with the draper thing too. I swear i remember Dan Cleary looking a bit more useful last year. I know he has the goal tonight too.

I know he has the goal tonight too. the problem is that draper has very little offensive upside. he's fast, but that's it.
