DatsyukownzU13 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I apologize if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to find a place to buy a Winter Classic jersey that I could get a player name on the back as well. I'm thinking someone other than the main Red Wings jerseys (aka Z, D, Lidstrom, etc.) so it would have to be somewhere where you can get the jersey customized. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

miller76 463 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I bought the Winter Classic jersey already. It doesn't get released to be shipped til Dec. 20th. But I just got it with Lidstrom, 5, and a C. So your trying to get the jersey without a current Wings player? You can always buy one from shopnhl.com blank, and then take it somewhere to have another name stitched in. I know there is someone local here in SoCal, but someone local to you, I would have no idea. Or you can try this link. http://www.icethetics.info/concepts/ These guys are fair and do a lot cool stuff.

IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I don't know where you live but in Garden City there is a store called Fanatic U. The folks there are die hard Detroit fans and the customizing is a bit cheaper. I think. If you don't live near Garden City, you can go to www.fanaticu.com. Seriously these folks are so awsome that every year in the playoff's they put an opposing team jersey in front of the door to wipe your feet on. Tell me that is not the bestest!!!!!!!!!!!!! DatsyukownzU13 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I would kill for a Franzen jersey. That's my dilemma. I want either Filppula, Franzen, Hudler, or Hossa. But, I have a bad feeling whichever I get is going to be gone. So I might just get Kronwall. I wish we didn't have money issues.

Blaayze 25 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 Don't do it... I think that's the one I'm gonna get. Already got mine ordered. Personal X-mas gift! Though, coming from a Yankee Household and a Yankee fan myself (DON'T SHOOT PLEASE!! ), I always get the "Why are you wearing all that tiger gear?" from assorted family members. I just think the new way they made the D is sick looking.

34Legace34 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) I cringe thinking about the crap that Reebok and the NHL produces these days. Unless you take your jersey to an independent and get the proper letters/numbers from STAHLs... the quality is no good. (authentic = tackle twill... replica = some screen printed material) We have gone over it a few times on this site, and most people wont care about something like this, but I know there is others out there that notice these things. The quality of these products are slowly getting worse, and we are paying more! Edited December 10, 2008 by 34Legace34

I'll be damned if I pay that much for screened on names and numbers.
Tane 17 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 ?? here in Windsor, The Jersey's been out for probably 2 weeks now...I never heard anything about the 20th?? I've only seen blanks, and would want to wait and see the exact lettering that they'll use before I'd get it customized
