It will be fun to get dominated by the blackhawks in back-to-back games, especially in the winter classic game on national television.

"The Wings will get dominated by the Sharks."

Will you shut up, please?

Detroit didn't play as bad as they usually do when they lose.

They didn't f*** up as much in the defensive zone but our offense was pretty bad. Exact opposite of the problems in the beginning of the season.

Yeah. Nashville had very few clean shots and even fewer breakaways. The offense was a joke tonight. Then again, with the class that the Preds fans continue to show, I wouldn't put it past them to have spiked the gatorade. :hehe:

I thought he played well. Lots of perimeters shots, sure, but he still played alright. The second goal was a bad angle, but Sammy actually put a good stroke on it. I was mostly referring back to the first round last year anyway.

Yeah I guess. I just thought we did the better job of making him look good tonight than he did.

I take back my earlier statement that ****** needs to just leave, he seriously has to be a troll there is no way a fan could be this negative towards his team. Imagine if he was a fan when we were getting bumped out in the 1st round, probably would have killed himself.

Hossa and Hank were invisible. I don't know about Hossa but Hank should play with Dats. Hank just looks super slow out there and no one can support him like Dats.

Our 4th liners are completely useless. Maltby, Draper, Kopecky. Just horrible line mates. Why don't we use Leino and Helm? Are we gonna rely on those two old guys again and again? (Not Kopecky but he sucks too).

People say Leino and Helm are not ready for the NHL. Ok? Then, are our 4th liners better than Leino and Helm?

Maybe Hank is playing worse so that we can sign him for less?? :P

I say Feb 10 (next time we play nashville) our entire 4th line gets "ill" and we bring up McCarty, Downey, and Abdelkader and have them and Lilja + whoever else wants to join just go to town on Tootoo, and the entire nashville bench...god that would be amazing; Wings bench clearing brawl.

But anyways, hopefully Lids and Ozzy are back for Saturdays game.

Just got home, listened to the game at work, frustrating to lose to Nashville because the only way they can win against us is if their goalie stands on his head. He plays amazing against us but then that little rat face will get destroyed by some lesser team like Columbus or St. Louis.

Some fun facts, Nashville has a total of 7 goals in their last 6 games and they get 3 tonight.

Ellis has been outplayed by Rinne all year but he plays like Brodeur tonight.

I hate losing a gimme, Nashville is insignificant in the NHL and after this big win for them tonight they continue to be insignificant..... congratulations.

I think giving Nashville this game was charity....... tis the season.

That's nothing new with the Wings though. They've been padding goalie's save percentage for years whenever they get lazy and start taking all these perimeter shots.

There aren't many people around who don't think Helm is ready for the NHL. Leino may still need to adjust, but he's probably ready too.

NOBODY has said Leino and Helm are not ready for the NHL. Not even the coaches. There are two reasons why they aren't playing.

1. Cap space.

2. Roster space.

Keep your pants on til the deadline when we trade someone (Lebda?) and the roster cap is removed.

Never said it wasn't. Just saying that Ellis was no different. A team that played up to their potential could've easily put 3, 4, even 5 past him tonight. He wasn't anything special, but neither was our offense.

Their goalie didn't stand on his head. With the way our forwards were skating, it looked like they were the only ones on their heads. Nashville wasn't particularly good tonight, the Wings were just dead asleep up front.

True.

Ellis was just interviewed and gave major props to the Wings, as it should be. All the Preds players do - even if the fans don't always.

We're just trying to get by down here.

Just trying to win one now and then. Tonight just happened to be one of 'em.

And props to Nashville. They kept the Wings asleep and shy by keeping them to the perimeter and on the ground. The Wings were either asleep or getting canned by a number of Preds tonight. Looked like some of the opening games in Slapshot.
