Statts 4 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 I challenge anyone willing to accept to watch another random team in the NHL for 10-20 games. Follow them like you follow the Wings. Critique them like you critique the Wings, individual players and as a team. What player was drafted in what round, what have they accomplished in their career, their potential. The management, the coaching, what their future looks like. Special teams. Take EVERTHING into consideration. Then compare with the Detroit Red Wings.   Go Wings!!!
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) This is a really cool idea, but I don't have the resources nor the time to do it. I am interested in what the final comparisons will look like; especially from someone who is as unbiased as possible about it. edit: Although it would require an extreme amount of comitment as a whole from the members, I think to expand on this idea it would be cool if a member "sponsored" another team, until all 30 teams are being actively scouted. The amount of information we could pick up on other teams would probably make up one of the largest sources of nhl info on the net. There are so many things that stats don't tell that we would be able to follow. Edited December 29, 2008 by Echolalia
RedWingedKitten 9 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 That's a very interesting idea, I might take it up. It's kind of a big commitment though. I'd like to watch the Capitals, so maybe I will try. Very original.

Statts 4 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) I can do this for you. Ohhh sorry, I “randomly” chose the Sharks. As Echolalia and RedwingedKitten said, it’s a big commitment ,but you will appreciate what the Red Wings Organization has done with this team over the past 15+ years with homegrown talent that has been drafted in the later rounds. Sounds like Yzerfan1999 knows. Seriously, knowing what everybody knows now , Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg would have been top 5 first rounder’s…. Seriously… for really though!!!! Ohhh: TheSupafly opinions of other team fans opinions are always appreciated! Please stay! Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) I can do this for you. Wings have to be the #1 and the other team as #2, not the other way around Edited December 29, 2008 by Z and D for the C
