Technically, yes! But they meant to say "point percentage". So in Babs tenure in Hockeytown, he gets just about 5 out of every 7 points available. which is pretty damn good over a nearly 4 year spread.

Pasha played in his 500th career game the other night, and is three points away from 500 for his career. Either the end of this season or early next, he will join the top ten all-time Red Wings scoring leaders, sitting with Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Alex Delvecchio, Sergei Fedorov, Nicklas Lidstrom, Brendan Shanahan, Ted Lindsay, Norm Ullman and Reed Larson. That, my friends, is pretty elite company. Not bad for only seven years in the League.

Ah, ok. Babcock's numbers are that much more impressive when you consider that the Red Wings were supposed to be the worst team in the history of anything coming out of the lockout. Give him a few more seasons and I think we can put Babcock on the same level as Jack Adams, Tommy Ivan, and Scotty Bowman.

Me, too. Even disregarding stats it's been pretty clear to me that Babcock has known what he's doing and outcoached his opponent almost every game he's played. There are other great coaches, but I honestly think (even when trying to be unbiased) that Babcock is the best coach of this era. Just look at his accomplishments and how successful his philosophy has been.
