He never really had all that much success as a head coach in the NHL. So including Murray when he was the head coach the Sens now are on their 5th coach, including interims, since getting to the finals 2 years ago. 6th once they hire the new guy in the summer. Brian Murray might be comng up next. They fired Muckler after getting to the Finals and let Murray take over that job. How have things worked out with that move? Not his fault, but he can't seem to motivate the players, and they are all pointing fingers at each other and saying "it's not MY fault, it's his!" Trade deadline in Ottawa will be fun. This is crazy that if the players decide they don't want to play, the GM fires the Head Coach!! When will the player be accountable for themselves?? Someone said today on NHL Home Ice that Hartsburg was a player coach (kind of like dave Lewis) and I personally think that is what did him in! But hell Ottawa isn;t going to make the playoffs anyways, they are 14 points out of 8th, I just don't see them making a comeback like that. I think the problem is Bryan Murray!!!
