pretty sure cam ward did not break a sweat that game. shots was something like 12-56 lol

56-11 to be exact. That is destroying the other team. Sad to think that the Wings got blanked by the Islanders.

We got shutout by the Islanders. A team that tonight, barely had more shots on goals than Carolina had goals.

Goals: 9-0

Shots: 57-12

Unbelievable.

The Rangers took care of the Habs, but the Panthers couldn't capitalize and lost to the Flyers. The race for the last couple of spots in the East will get pretty interesting.

Penguins-Lightning game is getting interesting. Penguins were up 4-0 going into the 3rd. Lightning score 3 goals, including a shorthanded goal. Penguins score to make it 5-3. 8 minutes left.

5-3 goal came after some pretty blatant goalie interference by the Pens.

Bettman wants the Penguins in the playoffs, so it's no surprise. What would the playoffs be without Cry Baby Crosby?

yeah, i just checked the box score of that game...that has got to be the most one sided game of the season. i think powerplays were like 10-1 in favor of carolina as well. sheesh.

i know it seems ridiculous the outcome of those two games (us vs the island and tonight's game) but you have to imagine that the isles were playing really, really hard the night they beat us and tonight were absolutely not playing at all. there's no way a team gets beaten that badly unless they are absolutely not even trying.

Florida needs to beat Atlanta & Washington , and hope Montreal loses out against Boston & Pittsburgh?

Yeah, should be interesting. I hope Florida pulls it off.

Montreal has the tougher schedule, but I think they pull it off. Boston has their spot locked up and I think Pitt will too if they win tonight, which looks likely, so both teams will not be playing as hard. Who knows with the way this season has gone.

Dammit, Florida. I'm pulling for you and you have to go and screw this up?

I feel the same way :(

I want Florida to make the playoffs this year. The young players on that team have worked so damn hard to make the playoffs, they're just coming up short towards the end. It's too bad, though, because they could be a good team in the future if they keep a certain free agent defenseman this summer and manage to continue cultivating and retaining talent.

The NHL has nothing to gain from the Panthers failing to make the playoffs but has something to gain if they can make it.

I think all things are pointing towards a first round matchup against the ducks.

Good! Put Z+D together to handle the Getzlaf line, and let Hossa and the secondary dismantle the Ducks, I dont fear JS Giguere or Jonas Hiller, at our best, if we get that, we'll decimate Anaheim.

Actually they still have a theoretic chance of making the playoffs.

Then the announcer on msg after the ranger montreal game was wrong. He said they were mathematically eliminated.
