Blueliner 69 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 With three games left, the Wings have scored 290 goals. Can they reach 300 for the season?
mtuhockey7 23 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 That's a good question. They're already locked into the 2 seed with no hopes of moving up or down which means they'll probably rest the stars til the playoffs so that we don't have any injuries to any huge names for when the 2nd/real season starts. They play Nashville and Chicago x2. Nashville has a good goalie in Rinne so I think we'll get 2 or 3 that one but then we own Chicago this year so it will come right down to the wire as to whether they hit the 300 plateau this year or not
Namingway 146 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) We scored 4 goals against the hawks on the game before the winter classic and 7 on the winter classic game. Just saying that it's not impossible for us to get it done on the last two games alone Edited April 8, 2009 by Namingway
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 With three games left I'd like to focus on giving up no more than 2 goals a game each game.

They'd be even in points and the first tie-breaker that would apply would be number of games won. Wings would have 54 and Sharks would have 53 if the scenario played out that way. norrisnick 1 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 The Wings have scored 284 goals. They have 6 "goals" awarded to the team for winning shootouts for the sake of the standings, but they aren't goals scored during the course of play.
